Is Hawaii Five-O any good?

Looking for something new to watch and I keep seeing positive ratings for it on Netflix. Anyone here go through it? It has 7 seasons so they gotta be doing something right, right?

It's terribly awesome if you want an incredibly cheesy not-so-serious procedural to watch.

Lol, that's what I was afraid of. I feel like I haven't had a good buddy cop show in awhile, is the show still on the air or did it end?

i remember watching the pilot 7-8 years ago and thinking the exact same thing. i gave it up for "justified" which at the time was the exact same thing, but evolved into a whole lot more.

Hard to take a cop show set on an island seriously. It's like, where's the perp gonna go if they shutdown the airports and the sea ports to them? Goes double for set in Hawaii with the USN sea and air monitoring tools available.
Like the episode with a big rig for example. Not a big deal, follow it till it runs out of fuel as it goes in a circle around the island. No spoiler there, because that's not what they do, would make seriously dull TV.

replaced the only 2 people on the team who looked like they could be from Hawaii with 2 people who are clearly NOT from Hawaii.

I tried to watch it when it first came out. I gave it a few episodes and gave up.

Watched the first season but tired of Scott Caan / Danny Williams' incessant bitching and whining. Terrible character.
