See I remember the end of IM3 Tony as blowing up all of his suits and retiring from wearing the suit...and took out the arc reactor from his chest-which I don't think I'll ever care for.

Will Tony Stark still cry multiple times, Mill around a kids garage, refuse to put on the suit, Pepper gain super powers and save the day, and 45 iron man suits show up and do nothing?

Tony Stark 3 featuring Iron Man is one of the worst movies taking place in the MCU.
Iron Man 2 says Hi. If it weren't for RDJ, Iron Man 2 would be the equivalent of Fantastic Four 2.

Ben Kingsley appears in promotional material as the Mandarin in the 2013 film Iron Man 3. It is implied that the terrorist known as the "Mandarin" is the public leader of the Ten Rings terrorist cell that appears in Iron Man and Iron Man 2. It is later revealed that the terrorist persona of the "Mandarin" is a fictional character invented by Aldrich Killian to mask his illegal activities while the idealized image is actually drunken British character actor Trevor Slattery. Inspired by Matt Fraction's Mandarin and the character Mallen, director Shane Black specified that Killian was the Marvel Cinematic Universe's version of the Mandarin as signified by the dragon tattoos on Killian's chest, while Slattery is supposed to portray the idealized image of the terrorist persona as Killian's proxy. In the film's climax, Killian reveals that he has adopted the mantle of the "Mandarin" as his own, and that he conspired with Vice President Rodriguez to eliminate President Ellis so that Rodriguez could become the new President under Killian's orders (in exchange for Rodriguez's daughter getting Extremis to restore her missing right leg). After Killian is killed, Slattery and Vice President Rodriguez are arrested.

In interviews, Kevin Feige suggested that Killian built his idea of the Mandarin from legends he had heard, and hinted at the possibility that there may be an authentic Mandarin.

Ben Kingsley reprises his role as Slattery in the Marvel One-Shot short All Hail the King. In this film, Slattery is an inmate at Seagate Prison being interviewed by Jackson Norriss, a filmmaker documenting his life. However, in a plot twist, it is revealed that Norriss is a member of the real Ten Rings organization led, apparently, by someone else using the Mandarin mantle and that they are angered by Killian and Slattery making a mockery of their identity. He kidnaps Slattery from the prison, telling him that the real Mandarin wants to meet him.

I thought the multi suit deal was really cool actually, and one of the redeeming qualities.
except that clearly Stark outsourced his suit building to China, because those things were easily destroyed

More foreshadowing of Ultron drones, which were also easily destroyed.

I think this was just done to placate the people who hated it so much. "No guys we didn't completely frick up that character, there's hope he still may pop up at some point!"
When will they ever be able to fit him into the MCU?
They've dropped the ball pretty badly on 2 really good villains, Red Skull and mandarin.

The thing that bothered me the most about IM3 was how bloated Jon Favreau looked.

They also dropped the ball on Ronan, IMO.

Marvel is scared of really awesome and ruthless villains not named Loki. I think they think it helps their movies be more "family oriented." That a true villain would turn people off. (In their movies at least. both Kingpin and Ward have been great on the small screen).
They are incorrect on that.

All of the MCU villains except Loki have been lame

I agree, and I think Disney plays a big part in that. It's one of the reasons I was concerned about Disney taking over Star Wars.

Sure the MK 42 was cool with the AI and ability to travel and attach, but what good is it if getting hit by a car rips it to pieces? Iron man 1 he got shot out of the sky by a tank, got up, dusted himself off, and blew it up. IM3 also went too far to cater to little kids in my opinion with all the "slapstick" forced comedy.

I try not to be too critical of fictional characters, but I found it pretty laughable that the world's leading defense genius and a guy with a thousand Iron Man's just sitting around has his mansion destroyed in like 5 minutes. Why the f weren't those things doing drone surveillance around the property or atleast have a damn radar.
That part just killed the whole base plot of the movie for me.

The biggest problem with Iron Man 3 was that Iron Man was not in this movie.

Winter Soldier was just as good. Not afraid to kill and actually an equal match to the protagonist.

Given the heroes he was facing off against, I think Ronan being a complete one dimensional monster kind of works. I don't think the dance scene at the end would be as funny unless Star Lord is facing off against a Sauron like opponent.

I think the fact that all of the baddies have been one-shot appearances have hurt really badly. Marvel doesn't seem to want to take the time to build the bad guy up when they won't be in any movies past what they are in. I really think Thanos will be treated with respect given that he will be in two movies and has already been shown in other movies. Fans flipped out with his five seconds in Avengers, started to get annoyed by his passive nature in Guardians, and Marvel responded by having him grab his gaunlet at the end of Avengers 2.

I really, really like IM3, and I especially like what they did to the Mandarin who is one of Marvel's more, er, "problematic" villains. I thought they threw a curveball, and made a movie about PTSD, which Tony would almost certainly be going through after the Battle of NY. And then they made it so comic readers didn't know more than comic virgins. In fact, they knew less, as they thought they knew things about the Mandarin character which was not the case.
As it turns out, audiences do not like to be surprised, have their expectation inverted, nor explore the actual human ramifications of being a super hero. IM3 is a bold, ambitious film that people say they want Marvel to make, but really don't. It's one of my favorites in the MCU.
