Glad I didn't see it in theaters.
Man it was bad.

Like "Oh look there are four tornadoes going on at once, let's walk around and take pics..."

"hey guys, an F5 is coming, leave this storm cellar and lets jump in cars and drive away.."

man, such a crap movie, but yet not in that "so bad it's good" bracket either.

Terrible movie but I loved the special effects. It is a shame no one can seem to make a good movie centered around tornadoes.

It's never been done but I think you could make a good tornado movie. It would require it being character driven and set up several characters and then have them all come together at some point and be hit by the tornado where they ended up hunkered down. I can't see a good tornado movie being made that focuses on storm chasers and big CGI which is all that has been tried. Or sharks.

Into the Storm was awful. I watched a bit of it and turned it off.

The Twister movie with Paxton and Hunt chasing storms was much more believable than this trash. You expect me to believe a tornando can be right across the street from you and nothing happens to you. You get to walk around and take pics while all kinds of shite is flyin around you. The 4 twister scene was crap you are right. What got me was how they just stood there churning and not moving at all. usually these type of twisters combine into one super twister. Tornados are also unpredictable. Can jump around all over the place, but these people were okay to just hang out right across the way from them. LOL

Happened to me twice. Not defending the movie but this happens a lot in tornadoes

Well, I mean, you're talking about a natural disaster (i.e. no motive for the immense and unpredictable destruction) that usually lasts for all of 5 minutes and that most people spend inside a small space in the middle of their house or in a basement or cellar.

So, being realistic, it's either going to look like the basement scene from Signs for the whole movie or like a bunch of idiots running around trying to avoid flying debris that we'll all hope hits them.

I think tornadoes are just one of those things that sound like they'd be cool to film but then actually aren't that great at all

I've always felt like one should take a special effects movie for what it is. Watch them for the great F/X, not the dialogue or acting. I don't watch porn for the plot, I fast forward to the "action". It is what it is.

I took my 11 year old son to see this at the theater and we had a ball watching it . Some people just take the entertainment world too seriously

bullshite. maybe some small scale shite is what you are talkin about, but you won't be hanging out with a major one right across the way from you.

the found footage angle is kind of cheesy and the characters are dumb as hell but the flaming tornado death was pretty cool.

I used to be skeptical of this until I spent a week in Tuscaloosa after they got hit by an F5 a few years back. I still can't believe some the the things that I saw and the stories I heard.

This movie was pure entertainment...nothing more, nothing less.

With that in mind, I thought it was very fun! It actually surprised me how much fun I had watching it. I'd watch it again.

Let's not forget how incredibly unrealistic Twister was as well.

Twister and Into the Storm are wonderful popcorn movies done right. They aren't meant to be taken seriously.

You literally couldn't be more stupidly wrong. That's exactly what tornadoes do and how they work a lot of times.

Tornadoes can obliterate things directly in their path and at the same time leave things around them completely unphased. There have been times where a tornado will tear through a house but leave things still sitting on shelves untouched. It's pretty incredible actually, but completely factual:

My 10 year old son loves this movie. He has it on DVD and we've watched it many many times. I took him to see it at the theater. We had a blast. He loves Twister too.

Get off the internet and enjoy life. Internet makes you bitter over time.
