I bought the SteelBook. I love the special features. The one displaying how they did the music was awesome. Also loved seeing how they made TARS.

Also for people who bought the Blu-ray and received an IMAX film cell, which one did you get?

Am I the only one who thought the score was amazing and beyond perfect

No idea what that guy is talking about.... The soundtrack is amazing and perfectly timed. The way the music drives the film emotionally is beautiful..

Hans Zimmer is a genius. Few movie composers are capable of perfectly executing the directors feel like Zimmer. Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross (Fincher's guys) are phenomenal as well.

I said the score was mixed poorly. I'm not the only one making this criticism - I've been complimentary of the content in this thread and elsewhere (I'm a fan of Hans Zimmer) - but the dialogue is smothered by the score in more than one place.

Really liked the movie but like others have said (I watched it on PPV) I had to rewind a decent amount and adjust my volume up and down to make out what was being said and conversely to stop my ears from bleeding. I LOVED the message this film had.

Gotcha. I actually agree with this. Like the part where the field is burning and she's in the house trying to figure everything out.. that part is incredibly loud for no reason. I understand they wanted us to feel the urgency but most watchers understand the urgency of the moment.. based on the fact alone that there's very little dialogue in that moment.

I didn't like it at all honestly. Heard a lot of good things about it(mostly on here) so was disappointed when I saw it.

Loved the movie. My son got it on PFV and I watched it about a half dozen times. Yall are making me wish I had seen it in IMAX now. I'm a sci-fi guy though.

Plot holes (NASA is a short drive from his house), the drone scene, etc..

agree on that, plus the "Indian Drone Solar Cells!!.. oh my"... just lol..

and "we couldn't find another engineer-astronaut" at NASA..

overall the "silly" flaws are few enough and minor enough that they don't begin to spoil the films entirety which is just excellent.

The storytelling was great, overall, though

any great scifi has the attribute of merging the human element with future technology or it just isn't "great", this one is a home run.

I found Interstellar an attempt at pretentiousness, without the sufficient mental wherewithal to pull it off.....

It's entirely probably you didn't really understand what you were seeing, it's far less pretentious than a lot of garbage "Day after tomorrow" scifi and far more thought provoking than average "Space Wars" films, which hardly even qualify as serious scifi.

I get what you´re saying. What you´re referring to, I personally view as preposterous, and cannot watch more than minutes (unless really, really bad, then as you well know, it´s quite entertaining).

I understood what I was seeing, with very little exceptions.

I found Enders Game to be a bit of a letdown, it's an outstanding story that just doesn't appear to translate to the big screen all that well.

Heinlien is another one, his writing doesn't always translate that well though I think Starship Troopers is far better than most people credit it for.. Jake Busey, Clancy Brown and Michael Ironside rock that mutha..

Gravity a few months earlier in 3d and thought "wow this is the closest we'll get to see space".

no matter what else you think of Gravity surely anyone can see that it was well filmed. If you're willing to buy Bullock jetting through space w/ a fire extinguisher then you should have probably loved it.

You will find on the M/TV Board that this movie is well-liked.
