Eisenberg as Luthor is one of the all time worst casting decisions in movie history. A fricking catastrophe. Added to it is the absolute pure shite dialogue given to the character. Really the worst interpretation of a great villain possible.

The thing is I bet Snyder thought that moment was pure fricking genius. I think he was shocked when people thought it was weak. It's so planted and shallow.

Snyder makes a move of moments with no scenes and nothing to tie them together. He never pays any attention to anything outside what is happening in the exact moment of the movie.

I'm going to go find that awesome video someone posted

Seizure dance. Vague world-killing machine. Unstoppable monster decides to use front kicks instead of his inspector gadget arms.

Hell of a battle scene.

WTF was that? it was a jump the shark moment for me. why would he say that right then? and who says there moms name and not just say "they're going to kill my mom"?

Yep. Aside from the forced nature of that being the reason he turns (they damn well telegraphed it from the very beginning of the movie laboring over her name being the last thing out of Thomas Wayne's mouth and then on the tombstone...NO ONE says theirs mom's FIRST NAME in that situation.

Just so dumb...

What I think is there was actually a competent writer/producer in the room who was sick of Snyder's and Goyer's shite, when they hit a road block on why Batman would spare Superman, he sarcastically says "Say Martha since they have the same mother's name". And Snyder and Goyet were too dumb understand that they were being ridiculed and ran with it. Really, it would be the first thought that came to my head being a smart arse, but I know it's the dumbest idea ever, when Snyder would think it was brilliant.

The casting was absurdly bad, but I never thought Luthor was a great villain. Superman has never had great villains, at least great villains that casual fans would be aware of. Luthor seems more like a Batman level villain. He's joker without the zaniness. Kingpin without the size and style.

isn't even close to being the worst movie I've ever seen.

That title goes to Avatar: The Last Airbender.

I think Airbender is a cinematic gem compared to Legion, Indiana Jones Crystal Skull, or the last Die Hard.

Ummm, no. There was not a single second of competence or redemption in that movie. Crystal Skull is blown out of proportion as being horrible. Yeah, the swinging on trees was goofy as frick, but it's nothing compared to the Earthbender sequence. If it weren't Indiana Jones, you would have forgotten about Crystal Skull already. It's just all the more bizarre though with Airbender because the series probably has a good 15 episodes dedicated to how they imprison benders.

That is the worst film of all time. At least BvS has Batman looking like a badass. I can't say literally anything good about Airbender. And it's all the more insulting that they're sitting on the next Lord of the Rings or Harry Potter and then put this insulting shite out. This guy makes a good case for it being the worst: LINK

I mean was the last words of "Martha" an attempt to tell him who they were killing thinking he knew of her? Like the only reason I am doing this is they were going to kill Martha.

I mean this movie is so ridiculously criticized. If people think BvsS is the worst ever what does that make Suicide Squad?

To me, the one saving grace it has is Ben Affleck. Maybe it's his friendship with Kevin Smith that had him do this role right (or as right as it can be) but he is by far the best Batman ever put on screen in terms of combat. No one has ever gotten it right until he did and for that, I'll give this movie a few points. Cavill actually would be a great Superman as well if he wasn't so damn moody and emo.

With that said, Suicide Squad was utter trash and I hope they abandon that story altogether going forward.

If only I could forget that.

I don't know anything about Airbender so I had no expectations. It wasn't good but it just doesn't stick out in my mind.

I think I hate Legion the most.

Eisenberg as Luthor is one of the things that made me lose interest in seeing this movie. I guess Hollywood likes the idea of young tech entrepreneurs being evil geniuses or something to appeal to the kids of today. I've always liked the idea of Lex from the Unauthorized Biography, in which he's an older, bitter self-made man.

... either.

Jor-El and Lara may share blood with Superman and delivered him to Earth but it was Ma and Pa Kent who built the character of Superman himself.

Krypton may have bred Superman but it was Earth who built the character himself.
