Wow, where to start? Well right off the bat the list is null and void by listing Darth Maul as one of the 100 greatest villains ever, despite the fact I don't think anyone besides hardcore nerds can describe anything about him aside from being evil and badass? He has one fricking line in the movie.

Secondly there are only 4 Disney villains on the list, one more than Harry Potter (and Voldemort is by no means the 7th greatest villain ever, especially since he isn't even the greatest villain in that franchise). And the ones they chose are a bit bizzare. Jafar is just gay and evil, and that's the extent of his character. Cruella is overrated and just had a catchy tune. Ursula has good design, but Top 20 material, no. And Shere Khan is in the original for like 5 minutes (unless you count the reimagining in which he was awesome). Seriously, where are Scar, Frollo, Gaston, Captain Hook, Lady Tremaine, Syndrome, or Maleficent? Disney kind of has the villain market cornered as far as influence on pop culture is concerned.

Then you have the ridiculous inconsistencies that don't make sense. Xenomorph is in, but not Predator. Freddy Krueger is in, but no Jason Voorhees. And if you're going to count Hannibal Lector, Michael Corleone, and Walter White as villains, where are Alex DeLarge and Patrick Bateman?

And Ramsay's the greatest GoT villain? Ramsay is simply a caricature. Sure he's disgusting to watch, but he is only Bizzaro Jon Snow. It probably took 5 seconds for GRRM to come up with his character. Joffrey's a much better villain, as are Cersei, Tywin, Littlefinger, and his own father.

Then you have the videogame villains, which I italicized since they aren't technically M/TV. But how is Ganondorf the 13th greatest villain? The only time in the whole series he's actually menacing is when you leave the Temple of Time, and relatable is at the end of Wind Waker. He's been totally hollow and empty aside from those and his catchy theme, always waiting for Link at the top of a castle. His presence isn't felt through any of the stories.

I could go on and probably will but just wanted to post the list for us to dissect.

Doctor Doom (#5) seems WAYYY too high ...over Hannibal Lector. Yea right.

Add: how is Kevin Spacey (7even) not on the list?? Or Patrick Swayze from Point Break?
Or Joe Pesci from Home Alone ( )

Yeah, that's a big gapping one as well. I'd definitely put him as a Top 5 villain from this century so far.

I actually agree with them on that. Doctor Doom counting his comic appearances I think is in the debate for being a Top 10 villain. Hell, he was a major inspiration for Vader.

And if you're just counting Silence of the Lambs, then I wouldn't put Lector on my list at all. He's not the villain of that movie. He's just a super creepy guy that helps Clarice find the actual villain. Really Buffalo Bill should have been on the list as well, since that guy probably scares me more than any other villain I can think of. I'd choose being killed by Lector over Buffalo Bill in a heartbeat.

John Doe at 38 is just the dumbest thing. He was lurking the whole movie, and then Spacey stole the entire movie in 15 minutes. He's top ten FOR SURE.

I mean, he's great, but there have been thousands of villains. I wouldn't put him in my Top 10 personally.

Noticed that as well. Honestly, I probably could have gone on a 20 paragraph rant on how awful the list is. It's the worst list since College Humor's Top 100 Comedies.

EDIT: I just looked back through College Humor's list. This is worse.

Newman? Dumb.

Darth Maul shows up for ten minutes and gets killed.

Where's Biff Tannen? He was a sexual predator and a real pos.

Another ridiculous oversight.

But no let's put in Darth Maul because he looked cool and did nothing else.

They should have Noah Cross on there but all the video game shite diluted the list. He may not be as sexy a choice but guy was evil personified.
