No shite. The warrens could literally be a multi-year series that I would watch in the same vein as supernatural.

As far as something that's already been done I would say IT definitely as a mini-series on HBO with a real cast.

This is a fantastic answer actually. Would make a great short series.

A lot of good story comes out of conflict. likI said, the isolation and paranoia would be great. If it served the story right, The show could be based over the course of maybe a week. In my mind's eye I can see how that story could be told,

Dont' be alcoholic. More is not better.

But I'll bite, what would that story look like?

I get where you're coming from though, I'm protective over some things too..but that would make for a great story setting that a lot could be done with.

It's not about being protective, it's about realizing that The Thing is exactly what it should be, nothing more.

We wanted more of the Hobbit and we got Peter Jackson messing around with the story. We wanted more Star Wars and got the Prequels (not all bad, but still).

II'm sorta, imagining a world where the 1982 film doesn't exist, but having the luxury of knowing how good it was.

I'd say more character developmet, more plot, not more sequels or prequels. Not saying more is better in that sense. Just poi ting out that tv is better than cinema these day and what could be done today, when done right.

It would probably work better as a short season or miniseries, because it would be ultimately pointless to have a second season.
The right writers, could take that story and over the course of lets say four to six episodes, each episode representing a day..if that story had never been told yet, with the suspicions, and the trapped cabin fever mentality of the characters ready to kill each other to survive.. if produced right i feel it could have presented a great sci-fi/drama/ horror platform these days.

I think you could do a lot of things with the Paranormal Activity franchise. The scenes are so subtle and understated that there is a lot of room for the scares to become less subtle. The story line with the two sisters can be further expanded to their relatives. Lots of potential there
