Iconic movie roles only certain actors can pull off

Between remakes, sequels, reboots, and the like there have been many characters over the years that multiple actors have played. Ex- James Bond, Jack Ryan, Spider-Man, Batman, Hulk, Joker, Superman, Star Trek Characters, and the such.
Is there a certain character that you feel only one actor could play? I've got a few in mind. First, Al Pacino as Micheal Corleone comes to mind. I can't picture anyone else playing him.
Next is Hugh Jackman as Wolverine. In my opinion, he's perfect. He says that Wolverine 3 will be the last time he wears the claws, and I can't imagine anyone else playing him. Oddly enough, he wasn't even the first choice to play Logan. It was Dougray Scott who couldn't do it due to scheduling conflicts.
On a different note, another iconic character that is going to be returning is Indiana Jones. While Harrison Ford was fantastic in that role, Chris Pratt is seriously being considered to don the fedora. I can totally see that, as I feel Pratt would do great as Indy.

of course any part could have been differently done but these seem like actors that embodied the role:
I really wanted to put in dinklage for GOT, Bryan Cranston for BB, and Gandolfini for Sopranos but they don't qualify for the category

The only initial negative reaction I had to Hugh Jackman playing Wolverine was his height. Personally, Wolverine being shorter than 5'9'' like he is in the comics adds something to the character's attitude. It also makes sense given his age and average height of when he would have likely been born. However, Jackman really nailed the essence of Logan so all is forgiven.

It makes me sad that you have a picture of Gene Wilder as Wonka, because that reminds me that they did, in fact, cast a new actor for that role. While I generally like Depp, he just wasn't in Wilder's class as far as that role went.
Which also reminds me of "Total Recall" and "Conan". I want to throw Arnie's name into the ring for those two roles. I can't even remember who played Quaid and Conan in the remakes, but those roles did and always will belong to Arnie.

I will go with something out of left field, Meryl Streep as Julia Child. She managed to nail that larger then life persona that made Julia Child who she was. Its not often you get to see an Academy Award winner chew scenery like mad... and be a bit understated for the role.

For some music roles: Duvall in Tender Mercies, Kilmer/Doors and Sissy as Loretta.
And John C. as Dewey.
