Who disagrees? And why would you?

I have no clue on whether or not the movie Suicide Squad will be good, but I can guarantee you that The Joker in it will surely do his part very good, and prove that my opinion stands correct.

I agree with you. I could grab the mailman and throw some make-up on him and let him go at it and some people would think he is brilliant. Lighting and angles are the key. It's just how far does the actor want to take it.

Respectfully disagree....eventually someone would (or will) attempt to portray him as a sympathetic character and I doubt that will really fly. The Joker has ZERO redeeming qualities and represents the worst of man's unchecked and unbalanced nature.

While it is almost blasphemy (sp) to admit......I thought I saw a small attempt at this at the end of The Killing Joke when after Batman's offer to rehabilitate him, the Joker told Batman the joke which represented his lack of trust in reaching back to the real world. It was a turn-off for me.

Now.....all that being said.....I do like the different takes we have seen. Romero's Clown Criminal, Nicholson's Gangster Joker, Leger's Anarchist Joker.....and what I expect will be Leto's sociopathic Joker.

Heath Ledger's joker was overrated. Hate on me all you want, but that's my opinion.

I would like to see the guy who played Mason Verger in the Hannibal tv series play the joker.

I actually agree. I liked Romero. When Batman with Nicholson came out, people loved his Joker.

For some reason when Heath did it, some people felt they had to shite on previous Jokers to somehow prop Heath on a pedestal.

Keaton Batman was a bridge from the Campy show to the big screen. Burton wanted to have some elements of the original series without going quite that far. Just seems like each subsequent movie, tried to move closer to the tv series.

You can still like past Jokers and love Heath more. Don't have to be hatin on Nicholson.

Michael Pitt. I agree, he'd do well, but he's developed a reputation of being difficult to work with

Agreed. I think its mostly younger people who aren't old enough to remember the impact of this movie that praise Ledger so much. Nicholson, and Cesar Romero before him, were both great.

I prefer Nicholson's to Ledger's. Ledger was unpredictable and violent, and liked to pit people against each other to elicit the worst out of them. He wanted to watch the world burn.
Nicholson was a different type of insane, he wasn't watching from a distance, he was already burning and he was going to gleefully burn the rest of the world too.

I'm with you. But I also think Keaton was the best Batman. Probably has a lot to do with my age at the time and just how good that movie was.

I will have you know I am already set to shite on Suicide Squad and Leto. He is following up an amazing performance and doing it with an unconventional take on the character.

For the record I said the same thing about The Dark Knight.

That's remarkably incorrect. Maybe next time.
