HYDRA - Agents of Shield Season 4 Question (politically related - not sure if right board)

In one scene in the framework "Evil" Fitz explicitly states we must "Make our Society Great Again" in a very forced line.
It was obvious they were linking the fascists of Hydra to Trump and the right.
That didn't really bother me, people in Hollywood are retarded court jesters who are nothing more than useful idiots. I get that. We all get that.
My question revolves around the politicization of the news and how it was framed as propaganda and how everything the news stated was a lie. Nothing could be trusted. Given the writers' obvious bias, do they not realize that they and the liberal media of ABC are the very example of what they are railing against?
Or do you think it was their attempt to "balance it out"? And don't tell me they weren't throwing it subtle political manipulation and that it's JUST a story. We all know better.
And for the record - I'm LOVING season 4 so far.

They took a couple of shots at Trump. They also took a shot at him last season. It's obvious they don't like him.

What shot did they take at him last season?

Boy, that line lasted like ten seconds in my mind before I moved on.
What's the big deal?

I can't remember exactly what was said. This was obviously during his campaign but I think Couslon was making fun of something he heard on a TV. May have been one of Trump's sayings. But it was a pretty quick scene.
Some of the cast like Chloe Bennett have been very open about their hatred for him.

Eh, Marvel has always been pretty liberal in approach, for the good and the bad, so it isn't surprising.

Ends justify the means for many people, therefore, propaganda about their supported POV is often "justified."
Of course they know exactly what they are doing, but their own propaganda is for a good cause.

Season 4 was great. I loved it. The whole storyline and acting were spot on. And a great adjustment of one of Cap's storylines.

The show has been getting better and better with each season but sadly it also experienced a huge drop in viewers starting in season 2. They got approved for one more season but I'm not sure how much more they'll do.

That is until Vince Vaughn or Tim Allen say something, then we listen and share their sentiments with everyone.

Why do you forget Scott Baio?

I think Season 5 is the final season and it leads into both Captain Marvel and the sequel to Infinity War.

I just hope they keep the same format as last year. Having 3 eight episode arcs was like having three great tightly told seasons in one year.

I agree with the format. They started off with a villain-of-the-week format that did lay some groundwork for future storylines. But when they dropped that for the events of winter soldier it just seemed so jarring. It almost seemed to go from a family-friendly show to one geared to a much more mature audience. The longer arcs of the Inhumans and Skye's parents could have been trimmed down.
It's like they've finally found a good pace to tell better stories, just in time to get phased out.
I also feel the show has suffered greatly from the lack of interaction between the movie and tv universe. The Easter eggs will only do so much for fans after having Fury and Sif in episodes right off the bat. A crawler on a news channel just isn't enough for people who have invested years to this universe.
Finally, political or not, bad Fitz was friggin fantastic.
TL;DR - yes, the next season should be 8 episodes. Then I ranted that they should have figured that out sooner.

I hope next year's arc is Agents of SWORD. frick Fox.

I hope they don't end the show next year. That'd be retarded. I mean, it's a really GOOD show that could continue to serve a viable purpose in the Marvel Universe.

I hope they don't either. I think Leob and Feige need to get over whatever crap they have going on and realize the damage they are doing to their product. How much better would it be for the TV arcs to have the added weight of the big guns getting involved, while having character development outside of the limited screen time available in major motion pictures.

I mean, at this point I would much rather lose almost every single hero in the movies than Fitz, Jima, Colston, or Daisy... It's sad that they can't get along
