I disagree. That is also impossible to do when the movie is about disarming bombs.

Hurt Locker is really solid...I thought Renner was excellent. I love these kinds of movies though.

I liked the movie ... own it ... but, I've only watched it once.

Just not a war movie like "Patton" and such that I'd watch over and over.

I thought it was a solid movie. And I agree with other posters about its lack of politics being very appealing.

Was all excited to see it based on buzz, but found it just okay. Certainly not something I would peg as Best Picture.

I would have given that Oscar to Inglourious Basterds.

1 on the binary scale, but kind of overrated

It's a 1 but it's extremely overrated.

Didn't care for it. It was a nice showpiece for a couple of decent actors though.

All I really remember about it was not understanding all the oscar talk it got. Maybe I need to rewatch it.

I don't remember hating it but it was far from being something special.

I think it was an important story to tell when it came out.

It's ok. Doesn't stand out in a pack of similar type of movies.

For some reason the inaccuracies didn't vex me that much and I really enjoyed it - could have just been a mood or slight intoxication - because the inaccuracies do run pretty deep down to the very foundation of the plot and characters. For a casual viewer I would think it would be an excellent watch.

A lot of people have called it the best Iraq War movie made.

Who are these people?

I'll be honest though, the cereal aisle scene when he comes back home is powerful and extremely accurate.

The movie is decent but you have to throw out any thought of military accuracy outside of a handful of scenes.

It was worth a watch but I don't see it even being nominated for Best Picture.
