Got an Apple TV for Christmas - and am enjoying it so far.

Already have Netflix and use HBO Go alot, plus many of the other apps show movies (like FX Now) and TV shows (like ABC).

Is Hulu Plus worth getting?

I use it like a DVR for network shows.

The ads are brutal though because it often plays the same one over and over.

If you like art/experimental/classic films, Hulu Plus is a no-brainer. They have an entire section dedicated to the Criterion Collection. The ads are only on TV shows.

Yep. There's ads. But they do have shows available right after they air, unlike Netflix which usually has to wait a year or so. I hate the commercials too given that you pay for the service. But can't the same be said about cable television?

I think the worst part of the HULU ads is the repetition. They need more advertising customers or they need a much better algorithm for picking targeted ads.

Do you have cable? It's the best legal way to get current shows, so it's essential if you're a cord cutter, but not much use if you still have cable.

Im actually doing my free trial right now. Ads suck but its only 1 per commercial break. Really like how it works on the Xbox One. Great use. I can add a show to my pins and click on it from home screen and within 15 seconds the last episode I have not see starts playing.

I might keep it for a month or 2 but since I have DVR there really isnt much of a point. Gonna try to catch up on Broklyn 99 before its over

I have it,along with Netflix, and almost never use Hula.

It has older sitcoms that Netflix doesn't,but you can watch all that on YouTube.

I watch YouTube as much as Netflix. It has Movies and full Seasons of TV Shows.

The Hulu Plus menu system is atrocious. It requires that you click on a program icon to get a synopsis of a movie/show. That's entirely annoying when you're browsing for something to watch. I will not, however, cancel my subscription because it's still a good value.

I get the ads on new content, but watching old episodes of SP or community and being forced to deal with ads is bullshite

So, it is just for new TV shows? With ads?

Um, that's why I have a HD DVR. If I want to watch something, I just set it up to record. I have 6-7 shows I do that with now. And, I can just forward my way through the commercials.

Thanks for the help guys. No Hulu Plus for me.
