Wow so now they can cancel your membership if they think you're using it too much

Well, they can cancel your membership if they think you're abusing it. Let's say you work next door to an AMC and you buy a ticket to a movie every day just to rack up on the Stubs Premier points, but never walk into the movie. Theoretically, they could request the purchase history from AMC for your Stubs membership (based on the debit card #) and see if those tickets are actually being redeemed.

Granted, it would have to be a gigantic-arse AMC, since you can only see any given 2D movie once, but still. I think that's what they're looking to avoid happening.

I've been to about 7 movies since getting my card about a month ago. Works perfectly every time. Haven't been to a movie in over a week, though. Just not much out there right now. It definitely changed our viewing habits, we hardly ever went to the movies and now we go see everything we think we might be interested in.

We have been going to AMC because they don't have reserved seats in most/all? of their theaters. It allows us to not worry about seats. I also want to join Stubs so I can begin racking up the points.

Get one Stubbs premiere card, have you and your wife each use it when you buy your tickets (and snacks). You'll be amazed how quickly you get five bucks to spend from the stubbs card. Just be sure that when they ask at the window if you want to use your Stubs cash towards your movie tickets, that you tell them no.

The Stubs Premiere also has dedicated ticket lines and preferred service at the concession stand, plus automatic upgrades to larger size popcorn and drinks.

Our AMC doesn't have reserved recliner seating, but they do have Coke Freestyle machines, so the drinks actually taste like they should.

Once you sign up, make sure to check the dashboard though the AMC Stubs website. They often have special deals that you need to opt-in on. For October, it was 2X points all month long, but you had to register in advance for it.

My wife gets embarrassed when there's a huge line for tickets or concessions and we just walk to the front and get called on first.

Me, on the other hand...

In Lake Charles there is only Cinemark, anyone know if they have a rewards program worth a damn?

Cinemark has a program. I haven't used it in years. They send you a ton of decent coupons. They used to have an annual program where you could buy a reusable popcorn bucket and cup in January, and get bargain refills in them throughout the year.

I get pissed when the crowd is middling, and the folks behind the counter turn timid and don't want to call on us next.

Recently I've discovered an issue with the app where a bunch of theatres in my area don't show any showings at all. Is anyone in any other areas having the same problem?

Used it for the first time tonight. Went seamless except that my app froze 4 times before I could check in.

So at Justice League tonight, AMC informed us at the box office that we can't use our Stubs Premiere card when buying tickets via MP.

You know, you would *think*... AMC is rumored to be working on their own subscription service, so making it as inhospitable as possible for MP customers seems to be the way they want to go. It's shortsighted as frick, but who am I to run their business?

I had no problem. Justice League. Premiere Card. MoviePass.

From what I've read online, the Stubs ToS were changed back in mid-September, so it's a matter of enforcement. Given that even if they accept the Stubs Rewards + MP card when they shouldn't, AMC would still be rewarded for their fricked up policy, JL was the last AMC movie I'll see in the foreseeable future.

Anybody know how long it usually takes for them to add new theaters to their app?

Im wondering that as well. The place next to the house was on the app, but it closed down and was moved a mile away to a new location, and its not on the app, and its been almost 2 months.
