It's excellent. At least on par or better than the original. Sheer Khan is fricking terrifying in it, and everyone else is well cast.

It's good. Idris Elba is great, as always.

I enjoyed it because of the visuals alone. But damn was I disappointed as a whole. I was PUMPED about this movie. Maybe that's why I was let down.

I didn't get into the story at all. Nothing really pulled me in. I constantly had random thoughts and wondered how long the movie would be or why they did certain things...which I never do in any movie.

I liked it, the special effects with the animals was very life-like and the kid who played Mowgli did a great job. Sheer Khan is badass in it. There's only a small handful of cheesy pparts that might be distracting I'd say. It was definitely made to appeal to children.

I disagree. Sheer Kahn was to scary. He brutally killed Mowgli's wolf dad just B/c.
My 4 year old was genuinely scared of him.

King Louie was scary big for whatever reason.

If anything it appeals to adults more and is too violent for a kids movie.

Even the snake is scary. At least on the cartoon version there is a goofiness about the snake, that takes away from the evil.

I just thought it was a little too realisticly scary for a kids movie.

I feel like although I see where you're coming from bill Murray almost single handedly made it very kid friendly. Really lightened the mood and played a great belue.

My 4 and 8 year old did fine.

Is the target audience really children though? I think what drives this movie is adult nostalgia.

I thought it was fantastic BTW.

Took my kids to see this last night. My 8 year old daughter was legit scared in a few parts. My 3 year old son was glued to it and laughed a good bit.

Overall it was very well done. The CGI was great. I caught myself just watching for that instead of the story a few times.

Not sure why King Louie was huge. The kid that played Mowgli was great. Recognized most of the voices right away but for some reason it took me a few minutes to register it was Bill Murray.
