How would you rate Brad Pitt's acting on a scale of 1-10?

10 being the best.

I'd give him a 3. I have a hard time seeing his character. His best performance was in True Romance as the pothead.

Does 5 mean 50%, more or less?

In leading roles, yeah - this is about where I'm at - 3 or 4, perhaps bolstered by Legends of the Fall and Benjamin Buttons.

But, supporting roles, I think he's 7 to 8 - obviously you and I agree on Floyd in True Romance, but also in 12 Monkeys, the Oceans films, Burn After Reading, Fight Club, etc. - the only real fumble in support was in Interview with the Vampire and because of the other acting in the film, I can't hang that on Pitt's shoulders, alone.

Take out Interview, and he's a solid 8, maybe better in support.

7 He's not an academy award winner and most of his roles aren't conducive to that anyway but he's solid in most of his performances.

He was pretty good in Se7en too. Floyd was awesome though. He should have gotten an Oscar for that.

His supporting performance in Snatch is good enough to give him a 7 on that alone, IMO.

He's an average actor, really. I feel like he's never great and he's never awful. Meet Joe Black was a great role for him and probably one of his better performances.

I'm biased cause Brad Pitt has been my biggest celebrity crush since I was a teenager. I'm sure he's crazy as hell IRL, but I love pretty much all roles he has played.

fricking haters in here, man.

I present:

A River Runs Through It
True Romance
Legends of the Fall
Se7en
Twelve Monkeys
Seven Years in Tibet
Meet Joe Black
Fight Club
Snatch
Spy Game
Ocean's Trilogy
Babel
The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford
Burn After Reading
The Curious Case of Benjamin Button
Megamind
The Tree of Life
Moneyball
Fury

He is money in all of those, even if some are shitty movies. He's been nominated 3 times for an Academy Award for his acting (12 Monkeys, Benjamin Button, and Moneyball).

And he's a fricking 3.

Right.

You people are ridiculous.
