Ted has had multiple women attend his class, including "Aunt" Robin.
The mother was in the class when he mistakenly gave a lecture in an Econ class.

Calling Robin "Aunt Robin" also doesn't fit because she is actually their mothre. It would really belittle Robin to call everyone by their titles in your scenario.
Ted explains that all of their names have been changed as to not reveal who she is.
Why would he need to use different names for every character if he did not expect to reveal who she was until the end of the story?

Because...for one, she wasn't Rachel Bilson's roommate was she?
And for the biggest thing....Ted would have recognized her in his wrong class right?

The mother plays bass, makes show tunes of pancakes, and paints robots playing sports.
Robin does none of this. If it ends up being Robin then they will have lied, and I will feel cheated.

Look all of this could be wrong. I have already said I flip flop on this but...
The kids already know a lot of things about their mother, mainly those traits, the roommate thing is a possible already acquired knowledge. Ted has revealed distinct characteristics of the mother to the kids. Those are all pretty distinct qualities, any one of them would immediately reveal the mother to the children if any character on the show was revealed to have any one of those traits. So, Ted just left those distinctly descriptive traits out of the story so as to not reveal which character the mother is.
Also in Ted's ideal 2000 this week Robin showed up as the bass player in the band, that may have been a hint to a trait Robin possess that has not been revealed yet.

Ted stated that his ideal woman played bass in some episode.
That is just his year 2000 fantasy.
Ted states that he meets the mother at a wedding, and gives her flowers right away.
He me Robin in a bar.
Either its NOT Robin, or anyone else we met yet, or they are lying.

She also wasn't named Robin in that scenario. Robin was just playing a different character to have her in the scene.
Also, she was in Tokyo in a previous season, long before it is mentioned this season that she had a very full life despite not being able to have kids and that she traveled the world.
Its not Robin. Period. The producers have gone out of their way this season to end that possibility.
It would need to be a total copout and the most convoluted logic ever to make her the mother. Its not her.

Youre missing the point of Teds story. Hes telling them how he met their mother. They know who their mother is so keeping her identity a secret by making a fake name makes no sense. The kids are also old enough to know what their mothers first name
Youre argument is saying like hes telling them like its a "Clue" like game where they are trying to guess who the mother is
In short: youre way off base

Did anyone get a look of Barneys left hand
I just watched it and you could tell Barney was doing everything in his power to hide his left hand so people wouldnt know if he was married or not. It was really obvious if youre looking at it what he was doing, he was cramming his hand under his leg and never picked it up from the couch even when he was moving around

The kids are also apparently old enough to know about all of the sexual adventures of their father and his friends. I don't think I'll ever be old enough to want to hear those stories from my dad.

It is not Robin. This much is true.

Its someone we don't know. In fact, its almost certainly Barney's half-sister.
This is my theory as well. I am only shaky on the wedding where they supposedly meet. We know it's Barney's wedding, but, who is he marrying? It looks like it will be Quinn, but, he talks to Ted because he has some doubts before the ceremony. Meaning, maybe he knows he really wants to be marrying Robin.

We don't know that it's not Barney and Robin's wedding.
Doesn't the bride want to see Ted?
Why would Quinn want to see Ted before the wedding?
I could easily see Robin wanting to see Ted.
BTW, I also like the Barney's half sister theory, it does make some sense.

Id be kinda pissed if Barney marries Robin instead of Quinn. Quinn is smoking.

This. I never liked Robin/Barney together. Its too convient and theyre too much alike it just doesnt make for very much chemistry IMO
Also I believe Barney has stated ( maybe not directly but you get the feeling) that he wants to have kids and get married. Robin would have to change a ton and it wouldnt fit with the rest of the info about future Robin

Robin and Barney eventually marrying doesn't bother me. I just hope the writers don't try some crazy plot twist about the mother. No surrogate, No Ted lying, No BS.

Watch the St. Patty's day episode where he and Barney go out. Ted bumps into someone at the club and has a long stare. THAT is the mother.
