Since Samberg quit SNL, I'm sure we'll be seeing him in torturous shite like this on a consistent basis.

Maybe it can be in the realm of Wedding Singer good?

The Wedding Singer is not a good movie, but it's a least charming and watchable -- this looks neither.

The people in this thread who are saying it looks hilarious and that it doesn't look that bad are probably the same boobs who laugh out loud in the SNL threads every Saturday night.

I used to think to myslef, what happened to Adam Sandler.

I caught part of Happy Gilmore on tv the other day and I didn't find any of it funny.

I don't think he's changing, I think I just grew up and the comedy world evolved

Seems legit but I still find Billy Madison and Happy Gilmore very funny.

The supporting casts in these movies probably bring more to the table than Sandler himself.

I've said this for a long time on here. His comedy isn't changing a whole lot...people are growing up. Sure, some of his movies are more geared at children nowadays, but most of his humor is still fairly "potty humor." FWIW, I still find that shite pretty entertaining.

As for That's My Boy, I don't think it looks too bad actually. I'll likely see it once it hits DVD. I do love how it's the cool thing to hate anything Sandler touches these days, no matter how good it could be. This looks infinitely better/funnier than Jack and Jill.

You know it's bad when in the trailer there is flashes of random usernames on twitter talking about how "hilarious" it is.

I mean Happy Gilmore, Billy Madison and The Wedding Singer are widely viewed as pretty dang good comedies. Some of the best of the 90's. I enjoyed Big Daddy (probably haven't seen in 10 years so don't know if I would still enjoy it though) and loved The Waterboy. For me, there are four of his movies I could watch anytime. Didn't mind Click or 50 First Dates for a rom com. But basically haven't loved a Sandler movie in 12 or 13 years. I haven't even seen 23 of his last 25 movies. Because they pretty much all looked like they sucked.

But what's wrong with being disappointed with somebody. He started out really great to most people and so many put a little faith in him. Nothing outrageous in that.

So I've hated most of Sandlers movies. But for some reason this looks funny to me. The people who compare it to Jack and Jill and Pall Blart are idiots. The rating description tell you that. It says crude humor and nudity throughout the movie. Kind of different than everything he's done. And for me, like I mentioned, I really like Samburg. So that's another reason I think it might be good.

i'm guessing at this point he's just cashing checks and doesn't give a f*ck, as long as a producer will pay for him to be in a movie, i'm guessing he's in
