Just started season 1, episode 1.

Meh. I still watch. I don't complain. It's not bad, and it's not good (overall), but it has its moments. Season 1 was awesome.

Yep. OP should definitively watch the first season. I didn't HATE the second, just got tired of some of the family BS, and the absence of a significant character ( don't want to spoil it) really took it down a few pegs for me.

Season 1 was one of the best single seasons in TV history. Season two is good, season three is an abortion , season four is average but has a couple great episodes hidden in it.

I love Homeland.
S1 - 10/10
S2 - 9/10
S3 - 7/10
Season 1 is one of the GOAT seasons in tv history.
Season 2 maintains the great pace and suspense but gets a little far fetched at times
Season 3 starts so slowly and is full of filler but the last four episodes are damn good
Haven't watched Season 4 yet.
S1 - 10/10

the first season was amazing
the second season showed promise on being a spy show but that turned out to be a tease
the third season teased the "legit spy show" much more and then REALLY devolved into complete shite.
