And he just keeps getting better. Man, I love him. he's the reason I watch that show (him and HRG).
Can't wait to see him as Spock.

They keep writing themselves into a corner and the show has been going down hill since season 2.

apparently you aren't dead unless you burn the body. so, nathan isn't really dead because they could always give him claire's blood.

eventually silar will start to remember who he really is. Or, peter will accidentally cause him to shape shift and he will start to remember.

Agreed.

On a side note, was that Zachary Quinto that they set on fire at the end? I know Sylar is now Peter, but did Parkman make everyone think it was actually Sylar's body they were burning, so the viewer saw Quinto as well?

And we are to assume that the characters saw Sylar as well.

That was the original shape-shifter who is still in Sylar form that they set on fire. HRG said that they had him in deep freeze back at the building.

Wait, I assumed that they DID burn Nathan's body at the end, but Parkman just made everyone think it was Sylar???

I think the show really messed up:

1st) in the second season using Claire's blood to bring people back from the dead, makes a character's death meaningless or if not used creates a plothole

2nd) killing off all the Level 5 escapees when they could have used them to future season anatagonists, since they were all supposed to be Bad as Sylar

3rd) I think the Gov idea was an attempt to play on the Detainee/Gitmo situation, which didnt work

I'm tired of this show skipping great fight scenes. We didn't get to see Sylar fight Nathan and Peter, they just copped out and showed claire looking through a crack in the door? wtf is that? The show needs more Peter vs Sylar and less Hiro, I wish he would have died

I'm guessing they didn't have the budget with their slipping ratings for the special effects to show the fight. Still thought it was a great episode.

The body they burned was the original shape shifter who was killed looking like Sylar. Also, you can already tell Sylar will get his memories back eventually from the scene at the end where he goes to the clock in Nathan's office and knows it is running fast.

I think they need to go back the formula that worked so well during the first season when each character had their own sub-plots and yes while their paths did eventually cross there was more separation between the characters

Maybe adding new characters that just discover their abilities and then this new company (the current characters) trying to meet them, but the new characters run or something

Oh please, Sylar is a very, very one dimensional villain. I guarentee the only thing the writers wanted to do was rip off Norman Bates and give him super powers. Sylar is also so stupid that he has to have a super power to know when someone is lying to him. I mean I watched part of season 3 (slowly but surely), and whenever Mrs. Petrelli just tells him he's her son, he just blindly accepts it? How stupid is he? Ben Linus (the actual best villain on TV) would have had a f-ing hay day manipulating someone as stupid as Sylar.

Also have you noticed that the show has absolutely sucked balls ever since they decided to spare Sylar in the ridiculously anti-climatic finale of season 1. I mean you can count the number of good episodes since then on one hand.

Agreed, what could have been a great character, they just f-up.

Ok, you want to talk about one-dimensional villains? The only reason Ben Linus is still alive is because Lost writers have no idea what to do with him so they make other characters mentally handicapped, allowing him to live. The more I think about it, the central problem with Lost is Ben Linus. The show would be better off without him. He served a purpose, now they need to move on.

Season 1 Sawyer would have shot his arse a long time ago. And why didn't Sayid shoot him in the head, he's already killing a kid, might as well make sure.

Because the writers were stupid enough to use this plot device in the first place. They've made death completely meaningless when you can use multiple character's blood to revive people, plus a person who can go back in time and actually manipulate time to his own will. No matter who dies from now on in that show, blood and time travel will always be huge plotholes that distract even the dumbest of viewers.

Not to mention the ability to freeze one's self apparently makes a bullet to the heart ineffective in killing someone as well.
