This has huge potential. Can't wait. I watched the USA series growing up, and Cavill would be great in this role.

I am all for this but I will always need Queen's Princes of the Universe to be the theme song

Awesome

That show could do so much, the potential though all the years is great.

This is a reboot I can get behind. Original series had so much potential, but it often fell flat.

Where can I put in a request for Cavill to play The Kurgan?

That makes sense to me. Hopefully, it ends up on Peacock.

I know Queen gets all the publicity for the OST, but Michele Kaman wrote one hell of a classical score for the film.

LINK

They need to hire Ludwig Gorranson immediedtly to score this one. He even has lots of the same tones and melodic structure as Kaman used. Both also come from a pop/rock music background.

This could legit be a great project for Cavill if they actually do it right.

Ryan Reynolds tried to reboot Highlander about 10 years ago but that never got off the ground. We'll see if this one actually gets made.

Absolutely. Those were top 5 opening credits of all time.

Absolutely. Love that ending fight scene music. I point it out to people whenever I can. I'll be very impressed if this new film can match the music of either Kamen or Queen. That's a rare conjunction of talent and results.

Yeah he should definitely be the heavy.

Part of why Highlander worked was Connor was just a guy, so he could blend in for centuries.

Clancy Brown as The Kurgan will be hard to beat. Russell Mulcahy was mainly a music video director and Sting apparently recommended Brown to him for Highlander. Sting and Brown had just done The Bride (1985) together.

IIRC from one of my movie documentaries or YT interviews, I think they had another guy who fell through and then they went after Clancy Brown
