Hell on Wheels recs?

Looking for a new Netflix series. Finished the latest recs. Murderer, Peaky, Cards, etc.
It has good reviews, but I see it is 40+ episodes in. Should I start it or will I be let down?? TIA

Excellent show, one of my favorites. Especially season 1 and 2. 3 is just ok. 4 has one of the best scenes in TV history, imo. Incredibly done.

the season when he has moved to Ca, isn't the best. I want to rename my dog from Beaux to Bohannon (sp?).

Some other posters have mentioned one scene in particular, but the whole series if full of the most amazing scenes, starting with the scene in the church in the very first episode.
Any scene the Swede is in is dynamite.

Season 1 is up there with the best imo.
