FYI, had some meetings with my TV accounts this week and wanted to share some tidbits that I got from my HBO and Showtime peeps

Assuming no delays, in the next week or two both will be launching the download feature on the app where you can download a show or movie and watch on your device with no wifi.

STARZ is currently the only premium that offers this.

- For Twin Peaks on Showtime, they said they haven't seen the pilot and that David Lynch will not let anyone see it until he's 100% satisfied with it. Apparently he's still doing some edits

Minor Spoiler
- Said they already have been told the second season storyline is already outlined and will be even more "out there" and be more like X files as it will have a heavy Extra- Terrestrial feel to it

- HBO rep has seen the first episode of The Leftovers final season and said we wont be disappointed. That's all he could say

Pretty stoked about the download feature so just wanted to share the news.

In before cool story bro.

They could show Holy Wayne taking a shite for an hour and I wouldn't be disappointed. Just saying.

Given the inherent limitations of streaming, this is a very important feature assuming the quality of the download is good. And as SSD storage capacity increases and the price per gigabyte decreases, it increasingly becomes a much faster and more reliable means of watching movies and TV shows compared to streaming.

Can all three of them PLEASE update their apps so their user interfaces aren't so woefully behind services like Netflix and Hulu?

Yeah HBOgo can be pretty bad. Random lags and not very user friendly to find shows/movies

Putting it mildly.

I need to cancel it. Hardly ever use it until the summer shows come back. Throwing away 15 bucks every month
