Movie with Ethan Hawke. Pretty crazy time travel movie. I think I'll have to watch it a couple more times to get a better grasp of it. Searched but I didn't see any previous threads.

Watched it a couple of days ago. I thought it was pretty predictable, but it was pretty good. Bizarre subject matter.

Yeah, you could definitely tell where it was going. But why? Seems like there would be a much easier way to stop things. And that's pretty strange, how they could make someone so in love with themselves. Not bad though, considering It was just a random watch.

I just finished this movie. What a sad life. As someone commented on reddit, that's a hell of a way to masturbate.

Potential Spoiler:

So the actor that played John (the one that fell in love with Jane) is the same actress that plays Brienne of Tarth on Game of Thrones, right? Gwendoline Christie is her name. She's not listed in the credits at all. It's just the girl that played Jane and Ethan Hawke.

Definite Spoiler:

The movie was a lot like Looper and I really thought that John was going to shoot his present self in the end just like at the end of Looper. I'm torn that he didn't. I'm glad they didn't do the same thing as looper, but at the same time it was really the only responsible thing to do.

John was just Sarah Snook (Jane) in drag.

Really liked the movie. Was fricked up. And yeah, I was thinking they would go the Looper route as well.

Bumping this thread because it was what reminded me that I've been meaning to watch this movie because I love cerebral sci-fi. Now I have and I'm going to throw this out there as a starting point: after finishing, I though it was pretty bleak just on the surface. Then I thought about it a bit more deeply and have decided that 'bleak' isn't the right description. Pitch-fricking-black is the right description once you start extrapolating the clues and realizing what might be lurking just beneath the surface of the bleak stuff.

Edit: I knew I recognized the Spierig Brothers. They made the really campy Aussie sci-fi zombie movie, "Undead." It's an odd and amusing movie that I quite enjoyed though it's definitely a bit too quirky to be everyone's cup of tea. I should probably watch their "Daybreakers" movie too. Anyone have an opinion on that?

Yeah. It's a really cool movie. I remember being super mind fricked for a while. One of those movies you can't stop thinking about. Ethan Hawk gave a brilliant performance.

I got it from Amazon, personally. It may be on Netflix. I have no idea because, while we have it, I've never actually learned to use it.

Half a movie edited for TV. Even your average rom-com would seem pretty strange under those circumstances.

If it's the sort of thing you like, though, it's worth watching the whole thing to get the entire plot.

I got the whole plot. It's definitely a weird one. Not that there's anything wrong with that.
