I just started this and I'm pleasantly surprised.
How does this compare to Silicon Valley? I know they are probably totally different but just wondering.

Well one is a modern comedy and the other is a drama set in the 80s. I watch both. "Halt" is enjoyable but nothing great like SV. If they could make a show around Cameron (from Halt), it would be much better

I've been watching Turn on iPhone so I've been tortured by the same Halt & Catch Fire commercial for 2 days.

I watch its OK (probably wouldn't if it was during football season). Usually I will catch 2 or 3 episodes on demand on afternoon.

I watched the first season and while it was an ok show it wasn't great by a long shot and so far I haven't had the urge to watch season 2.

Wasn't a big payoff for going through season 1

I dint realize season two had started, so I binged the first four episodes this morning... I like this season a lot, so far...
SV is funny, but I prefer HACF a bit more...

As I was not into internet tech stuff at all back then, I am enjoying learning how everything got started, even allowing for the show's taking poetic license with some of the tech stuff. And I like Cameron, tho I am disappointed they have her wearing a bra this season. And, yes, I know, there is not much there, admittedly. But as I am into nips....Donna? Not sure how she hooked up with the nerd as she is a bit too hot for him?

Both of those girls are good to look at and while the storyline is sucking a bit, looking at them seems to be what is carrying the show for the moment. That said, I wouldn't be surprised if this is its last or next to last season. Drags a lot this season. However, I would welcome either of those girls into my bed for some babymaking practice.
