I was always jealous of my cousin who went to the high school that was directly behind Universal. She always would go ride the rides after she got out of school every chance that she got

When I was still in college my roommate and I found a website with all of the LOTH episodes on there. We watched them all and figured out the winning % for each team.

Not surprisingly, the Silver Snakes were the best followed by the Blue Barracudas and then, surprisingly, the Purple Parrots. Obviously, the worst were the Orange Iguanas.

I had to stop and make sure that was actually on the show. I was shocked.

Silver Snakes: relaxing. Green Monkeys: almost at the finish line. Blue Barracudas: losing but still competing. Orange Iguanas: the worst. It's really beautiful

Can't wait to read this article. Even though LotHT was kinda past my prime kid-viewing game shows, I definitely still watched it a good bit. And I agree that there were few things in life better to a kid than late 80s/early 90s Nickelodeon gameshows.

I have literally zero doubt that I would have set Guts records.

I just watched all 24 minutes of that video, and while a lot of it was nostalgia, there is something to be said for those gameshows being legitimately entertaining.

I don't understand why Disney/Nick don't run these shows or other new gameshows like them anymore, they have got to cost next to nothing to produce, and they were wildly popular. Hell you're only paying 1 person as far as on screen talent goes.

Does Nick still have the GAS channel? That was almost entirely re-runs by the time it was around I think, but it was the greatest television channel I had as a child.

Rembert Browne is probably my second favorite writer on Grantland. Most of his jokes just slay me.

Legends was such an amazing show.

Not a Mark Summers type, in the sense that you thought he was on speed, but lively enough that he balanced out Olmec's chillness.

I don't think so. I used to watch the hell out of it when I was around 18 for all the nostalgia. I remember looking for it a few years later and it being gone.

One thing that always pissed me off about Legends was that it basically came down to luck...no matter how good you were, you had to hope you didn't randomly run into the guards. Always thought that was bullshite.

That's why you have to win the 2 pendants.

I don't remember anyone on that show ever having their shite together like that kid for the silver snakes had in this episode. They almost always get completely lost.

They needed to guards to keep things in check. How many spots in Space Camp do you think there were every summer?
