I don't think i "hate" him, some of his decisions frustrate me.
Also his brooding demeanor, "we fight with what we have" decisions, and he is too honorable / doesn't have enough fun for my tastes (fighting the ice zombies and being murdered will probably do that to a man).
I know right, I keep saying to myself, that goddamn Jon Snow needs to be having more fun. Hate that bastard. Think about all those opportunities he had to do like, ya know, fun activities and such... and that fricktard was just like... nah I've got too much brooding on my schedule.

jon snow is my favorite, but kit Harrington has zero chemistry with the actresses who play his love interest.
That seems like an odd thing to say about someone who has had a long term relationship IRL with his one actual love interest on the show.

I don't know if you were being serious or not but he asked my why i don't like him. His brooding demeanor and general lack of happy moments on the show make it tough for me to like him as much.
I mean take Arya for example, she has gone through hell and back as well, but she gets some funny lines and has some fun - like when she kills people - and i like her a lot more than Jon.

Democrat. This thread has gone political.

I think they have great chemistry. In real life they're good friends and were rumored to be dating at one point.

nah I've got too much brooding on my schedule.
he went behind the wall, joined the wildlings, climbed back over the wall, escaped the wildlings then went to craster's keep to fight the mutineers, then came back and fought the wildlings, then went to negotiate with mance and was there when Stannis' cavalry came and rode through the wildlings, then he became lord commander of the night's watch. then he went and fought the others beyond the wall past eastwatch and killed a white walker...THEEEEN he was murdered, resurrected by a witch and then went and retook winterfell from the boltons...
now for season 7 he does stand around complaining, and right at the moment I can't fricking stand it anymore...he's going back beyond the wall

They are talking about their different interpetations of the concept of deus ex machina. One has a restrictive interpretation and the other has an expansive interpretation.

on screen, they're not good together. there's no tension, no chemistry. a lot of that has to do with the writing, the absence of subtext, no suggestive material of any kind.
it's also emilia Clarke who they're dressing like neo from the matrix. i'm not saying she needs to be nude and rubbing his dick, but there's just no sexual tension where there should be.

No. The reason she wrote the letter, from a plot perspective, is to start the friction with Jon
quote:Disagreed with what? She knew they were outnumbered and sent for the Vale. Jon didn't even know that was an option.
She disagreed and wrote it without his knowledge.
quote:No, a lot of us did. It was pretty obvious.
The viewers didn't know who she was contacting

A. His IRL relationship was with Ygritte, ya know, his one actual love interest on the show so far. And I think they had good chemistry on the show, and it obviously carried over.
B. It's just projection by fanboys so far that Dany would be Jon's love interest.

Because, you know, that's what happened.

Disagreed with what? She knew they were outnumbered and sent for the Vale. Jon didn't even know that was an option.

No, a lot of us did. It was pretty obvious.
ETA: I do commend you for devolving this argument into a DEM thing instead of what it was originally about which was that Jon did very little to win either of those battles without the unexpected (to him, we should agree), last-minute help from large armies. And that neither decision to send those armies was based on Jon's "inspiration".

It's kinda obvious that they're going to get together with all the "looking at her good heart" and Dany's new found care about him.

I'm not saying they aren't eventually going to be together, just at this point, there hasn't been enough interaction and progression of that particular story line for someone to say they have no sexual chemistry for their budding romantic relationship.

quote:it was better, a lot better. but that had more to do with her than with him...and the writing was x rated it's also believable because he tries to resist her and the whole time he's still a crow
And I think they had good chemistry on the show
quote:it wouldn't bother me except for the fact jon has been standing around all season because there's nothing else for him to do...they constantly are finding things for him to do too. pet a dragon, see theon for a few seconds, take a cave tour. he's had the most screen time with daeny and there's no on screen chemistry there...not just sexual tension...just no chemistry.
It's just projection by fanboys so far that Dany would be Jon's love interest.
also jon marrying daeny is so predictable i'm kind of hoping it goes another way...it all seems really predictable and has for years. since he's not a stark I hope he takes the name and let's sansa ride his face. that chick got super hot over the past year.

Emilia was doing a great job projecting longing for Jon in the last episode. Not sure what you were watching.

To the guy who is dropping leaks as theories. You can EAD.
To people who have not seen the leaks or have not been spoiled by people who have, I would stay away from the maester threads. Just a warning.
Edit: Not replying to monkeybutt at all. I will not say who did it.

No. Her letter was written two eps before that episode.

I said it was a good guess
