Three down votes have been given to a man. A man must rethink on postings in third person indefinite tense.

Everything but the Sansa storyline maybe. The Sansa-Bolton thing is just plain retarded and doesn't make sense on any level.
Yes it does. In the trailer, we see Ramsay screwing his psychopath girlfriend. I think it's way more likely that she stands in for Jeyne and Sansa is assuming the role of Manderly.

I sincerely hope that turns out to be true. There's nothing I'd like more than to be accused of being a pirate.

Arg.

I always detected a hint that Gurm doesn't think women are very good at ruling.

Meh. He doesn't make the men much better. Men end up being better fighters in war than rulers in peace.

Even Ned Stark was so naive and gullible as to the way the "real world" works, i.e. King's Landing, he didn't see the walls caving in on all sides until his people had paid a high price - and this is the guy he hints at as being the best choice for king when Aerys II was killed.

Thus far, Tywin and Doran (and, before I forget, Tyrion) are about the only competent "national" level leaders we've seen, even they each had/have flaws as well.

As I said in the MG thread, there's a reason the Starks are the only family that's been around for 8000 years, and was never conquered by the Andals. People hate on Ned for being honorable, but no other family inspires that kind of loyalty. It's based on their honor. It might get them killed sometimes, but they survive.

My money is on that not happening. Ramsay may end up having Reek do something, but it doesn't really fit into the books storyline.

I think the show invented Ramsay's GF just so she could fill the Jeyne role.

But, like I said in the crackpot thread, Littlefinger is the one who took Jeyne after Ned & co. were captured/killed. This means that he is the one responsible for the fake Arya situation. So, in the book at least, this fake marriage is something he clearly wants. I always figured that this was a big part of LF's master plan.

However, with no Jeyne and no Manderly, who the hell knows what will happen.

The Starks are also pretty friendly on their economic policy while running the north. They allow the other forts make their money while they just take what is needed to run the north. It has allowed for some mismagment of funds in bear islands but also extreme wealth in other forts

It is just disappointing that they do things like add a scene with ole girl teaching Gilly how to read and more gay sex - things not in the dadgum story at all, taking valuable screen minutes away from a perfectly good story they're already not telling.
I agree completely. That dragon skin girl has virtually no presence in the books.

Lollys got some solid screen time. Probably the last we see of her.

Kevan giving Cersei the high hat was great

Where the frick is Brienne storyline going?!? Who knows?!?

Dany still sucks.

Aero Hotah was seen but not introduce, can't wait to see him go HAM.

The Sand Sluts need to show up, my body is ready.

Balon Greyjoy continues to live.

Janos Slynt might get it next episode.

Where the frick is Littlefinger and Sansa going?!??

My counter to that is if we're not going to have Connington and his grayscale, then she serves that plot device. And given the attention that's been paid to it in both mediums, I have a feeling it ends up taking a major character down.

Anyone else noticed all the book readers in the HODOR thread? Coco has lost control of the illiterati. It seems benign so I'm not beefing but damn, some people just can't help themselves

I've been trying to think up a direction for Brienne's story to go and I think she should head back to kings landing and maybe she will meet up with jamie and bronn at the crossroads inn where the baker boy is and she can go on the mission south with Jamie. Then she gets killed.
