I just feel different about it. There are some theories you can maybe pick up in the first book but it was pretty much a grind from my experience. I started the books after the first season aired.

I mean pushing through the first book kinda sucked but I'm glad I did. I'm glad I didn't just start on the second book. Even though I'd be on 3 or so by now

I started at the second book and really regret it because i had no idea how to read GRRM's books.
