I threw out the idea back on page 13 that Tywin might be one of the "powerful friends" that the Juntai guy was referring to when he rejected Dany's demands.

I'd say that's possible, although I'm not sure what Tywin's interest in the eastern Isle would be.
Perhaps the Eastern Isle is a source of trade? Or Perhaps Tywin has used his massive stacks of gold to get Juntai to spy on Dragon Wench.

I know. But it is just funny how he just jumps right in to provide his insight. Even though it has been made abundantly clear it is not wanted.

Doesnt matter. Still a spoiler since a book reader said it.

I think Jon/Y somehow get the wildlings and night's watch to join up/truce...maybe the white walkers strike everyone in the midst of battle?
Amen!
Thanks for agreeing, even though you don't like my Romeo/Juliet bit
Seriously (and not asking for book knowledge), was this discussed by anyone on the show and i missed it, or are we to assume that they just hate the crows so much that they have to fight them. Maybe its so the womens and chirren and giants will have a way out without climbing the wall. Still, if I had just escaped the North, I would want the NW there to fight the white walkers and just peace out.
I guess I just don't get their big picture plan. Do they think they can conquer Westeros? I didn't think they had all that many people.

I think Mance said they had no choice but to head South because they wouldn't be able to survive the coming Winter. The White Walkers are probably an extra incentive to GTFO.
The Crows exist to keep them from coming South, so I guess they figure they need to fight the Crows.

It's dumb for them to try and fight. They should just scatter and assimilate.

More difficult for some than others.
Plus Westeros folks seem to be able to recognize them by their speech/manners.

I think GIANT White Walkers would be not so fun to deal with.

Eh, not really, in fact this week I ignored a lot of what readers said in hopes y'all would just get bored. But in this instance, nobody answers a question in 10 minutes so a reader feels compelled to answer. It's frustrating. If a watcher really wants a readers input they know where to go.
And the wheel goes round.....

Not entirely true. Work got in the way of my Internet heroics.
I wasn't 100% with the answer but I thought I knew. But the reader blurting out the answer it stifles all discussion about who they were referring to.

You can't say this:
Then say this:
We want zero help from readers. Zero. None. If I ask a question and nobody answers, I don't need or want a reader to try to swoop down in his cape and help me out. Ya'll shouldn't be posting in here. Period. Doesn't matter if "it's not a spoiler and not foreshadowing." That's irrelevant. I was generating discussion with other nonreaders, that's it. If I really needed an answer to my question, I know I can always head over to the middle ground thread.
We don't need your help. We don't want your help. And if we ever do, we know where to get it. I don't get why that is so fricking hard to understand?

Just like a few weeks back Coco asked why they were climbing the wall, no answer.. Then the pages later he asked again. No answer.
Because Mance told them to, right before he said he would light the "biggest fire the north has ever seen"
You guys have to get that much of this isn't in the book, we have read but are watchers too.
Yes there is a middle ground, but damn I can't see the issue when there is no spoiler, and no book foreshadowing.
