shouldn't tyrion have thought Jaime was dead?
Jaime snuck away to KL after the dunk in the river...how would tyrion have known he survived?

I appreciate your support, but know that you, as a known 3ER poster, are still not allowed to post any theories here. You have behaved well so far, but I have to remain vigilant until the end of my watch.

Last night some asshat started a thread with a major spoiler (or perhaps troll?) that could be seen from the hover text on the desktop version. So there are probably people like me that have been spoiled even while actively avoiding spoilers. There really isn't a safe place to discuss the show until Sunday night.

Completely unrelated to that, does anyone have a clue about what they're going to do with a wight assuming they catch one? I don't think we've seen how the magic on the wall keeps them out. Are they going to have to sail it around the wall? Will they be able to bring it through the wall? I'm kind of surprised this didn't come up in the war room meeting.

This is more and more true as the show goes one. Last week is the first episode we watched in real time. We've been as much as 1 week off thus far, and I haven't had anything spoiled yet, this season.

I'm very cautious without going all Cokes on everyone.

they discussed in dany's man cave that there had been a wight inside castle black, obviously behind the wall. whether once a wight, always a wight regardless of distance from the NK, we do not know

Yeah but he was reanimated behind the wall. I assume that if the wall is a magical barrier as well as a physical barrier that something happens to the wights that try to pass the wall. I don't think that's something they'll just gloss over so I'm pretty curious to see what the barrier is/does and how they get around/through it. If they just walk it through the wall in a cage I'd be pretty disappointed.

This is a good point - they didn't travel of their own animus, but their bodies were brought through a tunnel by living men.

How the WWs/Others' magic permeated the Wall's protection to reanimate is an open question. As a precaution, they burn all bodies at the Wall and beyond. However, I am curious if they ever address this seeming inconsistency. Either it's a magical barrier or it isn't.

Not really. There are episode 7 spoilers, some of which have probably been posted, and supposedly there are leaked scripts or outlines through next season.

Question:

Are we still having the Episode threads for Hodors and Maesters or are we strictly sticking to the Hodor, Middle Ground, and Three Eyed Raven threads from here on out??

if i'm guessing, they'll gloss over that.
which brings up another question...if all they need is one wight, and a dead body behind the wall will re-animate, then they dont need to go beyond the wall or put themselves in any danger at all

just put littlefinger in a cage, cut his throat, and voila!

If Cersei accepts that there is a grave threat to the North that she can't hope to defeat without Dany's help, Dany can stand back and force her to concede the Kingdoms (or be assassinated by those who want help)?

Cersei has to see there are only 3 outcomes:

1. The WW win and everyone dies
2. The WW are defeated and Dany rules the 7
3. The WW are defeated and Cersei beats Dany

Both options 1 and 2, Cersei no longer sits on the iron throne and is probably dead.

Option 3 is her only chance at holding the Iron Throne so her obvious play is to let Dany et al fight the WW and then attempt to pick off the victor while they are still weak from the battle.

also, even accepting that the great wight hunt is ludicrous, it does make the situation with cersei more interesting to me...engaging with cersei on danaerys' part offers more intrigue than just a battlefield meeting

The writing this season has been subpar and relying on too much imagination by the audience. The season is simply too rushed, but it is what we have.

How did Jaime and Bran get away from the Dothraki without anyone looking for them? How did Jaime not drown?

Tyrion meets Jaime and there is no mention of him charging a dragon?

Did Jon ship the dragonglass to the North?

We can fill in the blanks with whatever we want I guess.

even without a shorter season questions like these don't get answered. You should know better by now

I'm fine with whatever most prefer. If a Maester thread is made I will avoid it pre-show and read it post show as long as no one is posting Ep 7 leaks. I don't post while watching anyway so spoilers during that time frame would not affect me personally.

Now post-show if I hear of leaks starting to come out for Ep 7 then I will be straight back to this thread in hopes the rules are honored.

I am glad this thread is here.

Even after Ep 7 I am hearing there are Season 8 leaks out there?

While plate armor is heavy, plot armor is rather buoyant and will keep you from sinking to your death.
