Stone tents=castles/fortified cities
milk men=what the dothraki call white people

This kind of bothers me. It seems like Dany is going to a lot of trouble to bring back the Targaryens to the throne considering the fact that as soon as she dies it is over since she can't have kids.

Not well

It was crazy seeing Jon and Arya on the same screen, hell it as crazy seeing any of the Starks anywhere near each other.

And Dany was actually interesting back then. Weird to watch

Also I read the "Jon Snow is the song of fire and Ice, and maybe the white walkers ain't so bad" theory and thought it was dead on. Lot of interesting points in it

Not sure how safe it is to discuss in here but it didn't have any spoilers in it for the show I don't believe. It's like a deeper version of R + L = J.

Mirri Maz Duur, the witch Dany burned with Drogo's body when the dragon eggs hatched, said this to Dany:

quote:

When the sun rises in the west and sets in the east. When the seas go dry and mountains blow in the wind like leaves. When your womb quickens again, and you bear a living child. Then he will return, and not before.

Keeping this at Middle Ground level, that leaves a lot to happen before she can potentially have kids again. Until then, Daario is in the clear on any potential baby daddy drama.

I went on the GOTs message board and saw their thoughts on last episode, holy shite, are all book readers that damn miserable? Literally complained about everything in the episode

We're more reasonable here. Some nerds are afraid of change. We are not those nerds.

It looked like the rant after we struggle for a quarter against a D2 team

It was like bizzaro world, they were complaining about their not being enough Dany Politicing with her slaves and were extremely offended by the Grey worm/missandre love storyline

Pretty sure they think D&D are the antichrist

I'm a book reader and I'm not upset. I'm not alone, but I certainly seem to be in the minority.

I'm one of seemingly very few who prefer the show to the books.

Funny thing is they're huge fans of ASOIAF:

It seems like many book readers absolutely love the Greyjoy plot line (think that's okay to say in this thread; correct me if I'm wrong). I think it's boring. If it doesn't make a huge difference, I'm okay leaving it out.

But it seems like everything that gets left out is some readers favorite character, story arch, twist, etc. I think about 90% of what is actually cut is either boring or unnecessary.

Just curious, but which one?

totally agree. I hated every chapter involving the greyjoys except for the red wedding.

IMO the best Greyjoy characters haven't been introduced on the show yet

speaking of, when was the last time we saw or had mention of the white walkers? I almost forgot about them. I really don't mind because i'm much more interested in the political intrigue and human element and dread the shift to a monster driven show but was just curious where they've been
