So he was plotting with Cersei to wait until Stannis and Boltons battled, then swoop in with the Vale army and defeat the wounded winner, taking winterfell. Only asking in return that Cersei have him named warden of the North, which she asked Tommen for a written decree.

Anyone think this is still his end game? He has a royal decree that he is warden of the north once he takes winter fell and sends sansa's head to cersei.

Lol, George RR Martin WOULD do that. Haha, but I can't see how Jon doesnt survive this. Theres some signifigance in his lineage that means too much for him to come back to life just to die again.

I agree, however I would not be totally surprised if Jon dies again. They show him in the trailer telling Mel if he falls, not to bring him back.

If Jon dies again, they gonna burn him in the finally and have him rise from the fire.

What stopped little finger from marching on the Boltons after the battle with Stannis? He could be the Warden of the North already.

He was probably counting on that being a hard fought battle, to where he could easily swoop in and defeat the winner. Instead the Boltons slaughtered them after half of Stannis's army deserted him

Everybody has been suggesting that if Jon dies again (or even the first time) that they'll burn him and he'll rise again from the ashes. As far as I understand (which may not be much) is that the fire doesn't burn them. It's not like Denarys was dead when she got burned up and came out unscathed. The first doesn't burn them but is it supposed to heal them from multiple stab wounds? If all Targaryeans just pheonix' out of the flames wouldn't we see a lot more running around?

I do like the the premise that Littlefinger has been using this as the long game for warden of the North. But I definitely don't think he'd kill Sansa.

Targs are not immune to fire. Dany survived Drogo's funeral pyre because of magic. She may be immune to it now but it's not purely because of her blood.

Nah, LF's endgame is to take the Iron Throne. He wants allegiances with the North. If he gets The North's help by marriage through Sansa and also has the Vale, he will be a major player for the Throne.

LF doesn't want The North. He wants everything.

Guys, that's kinda my point. I'm saying I don't understand why people think Jon is going to rise from the flames in any capacity.

I don't necessarily think so... LittleFinger knows that the houses wouldnt follow someone from the southern regions. His game was always to be lord of the vale

Does Littlefinger want to be King or would he rather be the next Tywin Lannister, aka "The Power behind the Throne"? If it is the latter, perhaps he shifts his game to backing Jon as his primary Iron Throne contender or, at the very least, once again playing the Lannisters off of the Starks to create the chaos which has served Littlefinger so well in the past.

If Dany became resistant to fire as the result of a magical occurring event (resurrection). Would it be so farfetched to believe that Jon too could now be resistant to fire as the result of the magical occurring event (resurrection)?

Nope he wouldn't considering he never had LF sell Sansa to Ramsay fricking Snow in the first place

I disagree. LF doesn't want the Throne; he wants to destroy it and everything it stands for. His goal is to destroy the Highborn system, namely the Starks and Tullys. His goal as he puts it is to "frick everyone", while Varys says he will see the country burn to be King of the Ashes.

Cersei's promises to LF are empty and she has no power to enforce them. LF though the ball is completely in his court. He has the largest united army in Westeros now at his command. I've said this in the Readers thread, but I think LF will rule Winterfell through Sansa at the end of the season. I also think in Episode 10 he'll try to have Jon killed and take out most of the rest of his remaining forces. Sure LF will first destroy the Bolton army, but once he has Sansa in his paws again, that's when he first openly reveals himself to the world. He will have Sansa crowned as Queen in the North by name, but really be the true ruler.

There's no way in hell LF is going to back Ned Stark's bastard son. From LF's perspective, he'd look like a far more competent and dangerous version of his father's, and he's a direct threat to Sansa's birthright. Plus Jon personally executed the only other person who knew the extent of LF's betrayal of his father, to where LF thinks Jon may know of his true nature. He will try to kill him the first chance he gets. LF is the one with the army now, and he's done sniveling under the High Lords.

Brienne will have to be killed for this to happen. I don't think Sansa is going to be anybody's puppet after her time with Ramsey. She would rather die than let LF control her.
