He's gay breh. And he let a girl beat him up.
But seriously, he hasn't really done anything in the show to prove he's as great as they say he is. His only accomplishment is beating the Mountain at jousting. Plus Jon Snow has Valyrian steel.

Just like Oberyn wouldn't be able to touch the Moutain?
Size doesn't mean shite when you're going against a great fighter.
And I don't care the circumstances, you lose to 4 crows that can barely kill the food they eat when you are 10 times their size, you are not in the conversation as a great fighter.

We're seriously comparing Oberyn and the Mountain against a GIANT? He's like 12 feet tall which would make him about twice the size of the average human. Size means alot when you're twice as big as the other person. I would beat the frick out of the baddest 6 year old on the planet no matter how skilled he is at fighting.

Still ignoring the 3 other people and the gate huh? They were skilled enough fighters to be rangers of the Nights Watch. It's not like they were stewards.

like that is some sort of big accomplishment. They had 100 guys at that point, who knows what they were, everyone was fighting in that battle (Stewards and all) and it's not like he picked out 3 of the best fighters, he literally picked the 3 closest to him when Jon told him to protect the gate.Posted on 6/20/14 at 4:14 pm to Byron Bojangles III
True but I just don't think his size and strength can be overlooked. He could lose under certain circumstances, but I just don't see it if we're talking about one on one combat when both fighters are 100%.

1 on 1 in open space oberyn or drogo or jaime or selmy could take out Mag.
