It is implied that Dany is about to claim back Drogo's khalasar now lead by Jhoqo. IIRC

yes

but Jhoqo is dead in the show, so...

although I guess it doesn't really matter who the khal is

No. The last thing in the books about Stannis was he and his army were getting snowed-in en route to Winterfell.
So Jon dies well before Stannis in the books? Is Melisandre still with Stannis? If so, I'm a little more skeptical about her bringing back Jon.

I read an interview with the actor that played Jon snow and he said the producers told him he is dead and not coming back

I've been posting in game of thrones hodor threads for years and I really appreciate all the book readers. Somehow I managed to discuss this show on this site for that long without ever having anything huge spoiled for me. I know there was a lot of lunacy relating to these threads, but it worked out great for me, at least.

to the maesters, the middle grounders, the Hodors, and even those comatose Khal Drago's that keep things interesting

Negative. Still several big things in the books that haven't happened in the show.

Stannis' entire family along with Melisandre are still alive and kicking at the wall when Jon dies in the books.

That's what they are saying, but most people think they are just simply lying.

I guess we won't know until the next season starts filming or the next book comes out.

Maesters are still maesters.

****Spoilers for errant Hodors****

****Seriously I don't want to be a dick****

We know how the story ends, we've known Jon's true parentage since Game of Thrones. We know about Aegon with his slightly better maybe claim to the throne (male heirs beat out female). We know The Song of Ice and Fire is the story the Reeds are telling Bran. You know, since Lyanna was Ice and Rhaegar was Fire and a Warrior Poet.

What has come before will come again. The rest is just how the pieces actually fit. The only question that's really up in the air is Jon. Blackfyre or Targ? I'm expecting Howland to reveal Rhaegar practiced the old tradition of the Conqueror and got himself a plural marriage since Kingsguards protect only the king's blood and the best were with Lyanna at the Tower of Joy.

So ALL HAIL THE PRINCE THAT WAS PROMISED (as Rhaegar and Aemon figured it was from his issue not Rhaegar), ALL HAIL AZOR AHAI, LET THE WINDS OF WINTER SING WE'RE GOING WHITE WALKER SLAYING!

****END SPOILER DICKERY****

To be honest, I read both threads and there is not much difference - kinda silly to have two.
