Kind of looked like a modern day Jumanji....

And that's ok by me.

I'm excited! My 5 year old is excited! I'm happy that this movie was made. It'll be a fun "Halloween" movie for the family with just enough scares to make everyone jump and laugh but not enough to cause nightmares for the 5 year old.

What age is this movie for? I'd like to introduce my 7 year old to Goosebumps, but I don't want her to freak out.

One critic said "this is the Halloween movie to take kids too if they aren't ready for pg-13 movies if that's any help.

So unexpectedly deft at balancing humor, drama and scares that it seems destined to become a Halloween classic

Really hoping it turns into something like Hocus Pocus

My 5 year old LOVES Hocus Pocus, except she calls it Pocus Pocus and I just laugh.

I thought the movie looked like it would be fun to watch whether you were a kid or not and whether you read the books or not. Reminds me a lot of Jumanji.

Not too sure. My 5 year old and 10 year old love watching Goosebumps on Netflix. My 10 year old is very excited for the movie. I'm definitely gonna take her to see it. Not so sure about my 5 year old.

Is there a teaser at the end for the sequel, Fear Street?
