What a cast. What a movie.

Angelina just looked entirely too weird with the white hair & blue eyes.

I wish they'd show it with Story Notes.

Alright, now that I'm older & have seen this movie no less than 20 times-it's time to play the numbers game:

50 cars
They start the boost with 12 hours to the deadline.
Driving all over Long Beach.

12 hours = 720 minutes.
÷ 50 cars = 14.4 minutes per car to steal.

They've got an active team of:
Cage, Jolie, Big black guy, little black guy, Sphinx, Ribisi, Scott Caan, Fake Keanu Reeves.

I'm going with NOT possible...

I hate prequels but I would watch one of this in a heart beat.

Your math sucks dick, dude

You're assuming they are going solo. If they divide labor it's not absurd.

50 cars/8 people = 6.25 cars per person. Let's just round that up to 7 across the board. So 7 cars in 720 minutes, or basically 103 minutes per car. Almost 2 hours per car. IIRC, they split up into teams of two (it has been years since I saw the flick), meaning you're still talking about almost an hour per car. The window is tight, sure, but isn't that the whole premise of the film?

And they did some of them solo. Also they got 4/5 at once a few times (inpound lot for example).
I mean it's feasible, they were also late so...

Yeah, but by like 5 minutes or something, right? And if it had gone according to play they would have been gold. It was only the whole running from the helicopter thing that screwed them.

Again, the window was small but to just categorically dismiss it is foolish.

There is an old rumor floating around that Jolie was completely strung out on Heroin while filming the movie. Supposedly she had her own dedicated makeup artist that covered her arms with makeup to hide her track marks

Absolutely one of my favorite movies.

Say what you want about Nick Cage, he has some bad missed, but he's been in some awesome movies as well.

What do you think she liked better having sex on heroine or stealing cars on heroin?

That's highly probable - this was during the period of time when she had a bad heroin addiction. One of her dealers took some video footage circa 1999 (about the time or shortly before GISS was filmed) - and she doesn't deny she had a bad, bad problem during that period.

I like this movie. I know the critics hated it, but I always watch it when it is on.

You can see a very young Michael Pena in it.

I mean, the car chase was done fantastic. Considering the original is arguably the GOAT car chase movie, this one did pretty well. For as far as I can tell, all practical effects too.

Dat Mustang, doe.
