Just finished my first viewing of this film. Scariest movie I've ever seen. Wife is asleep (not sure, she may have same demon powers as Amy) and considering making a run for it. Bitches be crazy.

It definitely had one chilling moment for me. It's a well crafted movie with surprises at every turn. Loved it.

It's awesome, but per usual, there is no middle ground on this board.

I liked it quite a bit, it's nice when movies don't go the predictable route. Very well done movie. One quibble though and potentially a sort of spoiler:
What are the odds of having two complete psychos? Kind of like hitting the lottery.

I was exaggerating and a little tipsy. Movie was awesome. Woman was crazy.

Unique film. Third act doesn't fulfill the promise of the rest of the movie, but so much goodwill built up by then makes the whole a rewarding experience.

Who do you consider to be the second psycho?

Watched it last night for the first time myself. Reminded me of classic film noir Leave Her To Heaven but taken to a more extreme graphic level of course.
And while not really breaking any new ground in the thriller genre what I enjoyed best was the films narrative structure. Present day events unfolding interwoven with his and her points of view from the past. I really liked Kim Dickens performance and the girl who played the twin sister was really good too. Even Tyler Perry played his part perfectly.

Eh, I'll give you some. The movie was pretty good for the most part but the 3rd act was weak and needed too much suspension of disbelief.

I disagree. I thought the ending was perfect, but I've typed out my reasoning way too many times to do it again.
Her going down wasn't really an option, and anyone who has a problem with the police/FBI not searching further doesn't know the shitty system. It's all about "closing cases" in that world. They don't like to look stupid once, let alone twice.
That movie was messy, just like the real world. Guilty people get away all of the time with way more evidence against them, and no sob story.

I think that's what separated it from being a "serious drama" from a fun little thriller.
Personally I'm glad they went the latter route.

Earned some serious acting cred for that performance.
