Watched it last night. Really good movie and solid acting. Had a good amount of known actors in it and the story line covered alot of what is going on today with seperation of church and state.

havent seen it. But I can say the first one made me LOL when a freshman was able to beat a philosophy professor in an argument over God's existence using Philosphy 101 arguments.

This movie existed simply to appeal to a very specific audience.

It's bombing. The first went out to 780 theaters and made about 3k per screen. The wide release of this film killed it. It's making only 1k per theater and went out to 2,400 screens. No Bueno.

But Miracles from Heaven has made $50 mil so far.

What's with all these Heaven biopics from questionable Amazon books?

reality is we have lost a ton of history that would radically change our history and science books.

much of what we take as 100% fact in history and science is based on conjecture and faith, not hard facts, a lot like religion.

for someone to believe he or she knows enough history and science to 100% disprove God, is a foolish arrogant notion.

I liked the first one. Anybody from the first one in it?

Religion acts a convenient plug for holes in knowledge. Because we, as humans, are arrogant in that we must have an explanation for everything.

Where did we come from?
That's a very tough question. Hmm (ponders) God created us.

I'm scared of what happens when I die. What is next after death?
I'm not sure. But I like to think it's the most awesome place ever. We'll call it Heaven.

What's with all those blinky little dots things in the night sky?
I'm not sure. It must be angels looking over us. Yea, that's what it is. Who needs science?

i'm not religious but science can't disprove a faith-based religion. replacing "god" with "Science" doesn't really fill the gap, either

Its true that there really is no way to prove or disprove the existence of a deity, but I think it is also important to acknowledge that much of what has been thought in the past to be physically unexplainable and attributed to an almighty has time and again been explained with epochal breakthroughs in science.

I guess I mean to say while the gap hasn't been filled by science, it has cetainly grown exponentially less expansive with the development of science.

All that to say there will absolutely never be sufficient evidence to disprove intelligent design; in fact, to someone of faith, discoveries and development of knowledge can only enhance the theory of an overseeing "engineer"

I never said it did. Simply that it's very convenient to fill a gap in knowledge with "I don't know, Must be God's work."

Without a doubt. I tried to watch the first one. As a movie, it was terrible. Like, second rate Hallmark movie of the week bad. But the message finds an audience who are going to look past the quality of the movie. That's when you're left with a bunch of people telling you how good a movie is based off of their religious bias. Not surprising there are big names in it. Some actors are going to be Christians and do the project based off beliefs.

I grew up in a church going family and wouldn't say I'm not a believer. Just not a fan of any religion at the moment. I am not anti-God or anything. You would have to pay me money to watch this movie.

Science and Spirituality are fusing on the subquantum level. This will be common knowledge twenty years from now. Eastern religions described quantum physical principles two thousand years ago. Read The Tao of Physics. Great book as a starting point.
