One more thing. I play, coach stays. He goes, I go.

One movie where changing the ending was the right move.

I agree, but Bernard Malamud said he didn't leave the house for two weeks after the movie came out.

I wrote a paper on The Natural as a senior in High School. Malamud died a couple weeks later.

Wrote a paper on James Baldwin's "Sonny's Blues" as a sophomore at LSU. James Baldwin died a month later.

Recently listened to "Watership Down" audiobook. Richard Adams died a few weeks later.

I guess the pen really is mightier than the sword. It kills people from thousands of miles away.

I threw the book at the wall when I finished the end.

It was really weird reading the book. There were paragraphs and even pages in the book where the movie took it word for word but had a completely different connotation.

Watched the movie last night with fiancée (her first time). Probably my all time favorite movie as a kid. As I watch it older I always find it funny how ridiculous it is (but still love it). When he is hot, he goes like 5/5 with 5 homers a game and the knights never lose.
