Boys you are witnessing the birth of a star. FYI, Lea Michele and the girl who plays the Lead Chearleader Quinn are roommates in real life.

In the spring when the blonde bitch said she was preggo I thought she was either lying or that it's someone elses!!

Favorite line of the night came from the gym teacher "I'm a minority so they can't fire me, so I'll always be able to provide for you"

Ok, so stupid question here....I read in this thread that the lead girl actually sings, but do all of the members actually do their own vocals as well [ie-they could all be on Broadway]? I watched it tonight for the first time ever and was really amused. I am trying not to think of it as me watching HSM though.

Yea it's actually them singing. I read an article in entertainment weekly that to get the role they all had to be able to sing.

Two episodes in and I can't believe that I actually like this show.

It's not too bad. I'll probably keep watching depending on what else comes on on Wednesdays once all the shows premiere.

That main brunette girl has some fricking pipes if that was really her singing that song at the end.

Great show so far. The guy thinking of hitting the mailman had me cracking up. I have a feeling they will have consistently good performances on the show that will help it out during the inevitable less funny episodes.

I don't think this show is going to last long. Wikipedia has a link to a New York Times article which states that each episode costs roughly $3 million and takes 10 days to film.

All depends on the numbers.

Great show. My wife and I laughed our asses off. My favorite quotes from last nights episode were:

"Just slammin my hammies." and "Later, that will come in useful."

I really enjoyed the show and hope it lasts. It's pretty damn funny, particularly Jane Lynch. A lot of the funniest lines are delivered in a very conversational manner, particularly the gag reflex one.

It would be interesting to see what kind of revenue the music downloads bring in for the show and how it may mitigate some of the cost.

With all the music the dvd's for this show are going to cost a ton. they will have to pull huge numbers to keep it going. i'm sure the ratings last night were huge because Obama was on everything else. great move by fox.

This show will be a rewinder (what did they just say?) They really try and slip the jokes past you with dry delivery of absurd or taboo lines.

Preliminary numbers are in for Glee "7.136 million viewers, but with a 3.4/9 adults 18-49 rating and a 3.7/10 with adults 18-34"

If it can settle into a 3.0 amongst adults 18-49, I doubt that the 3 million price tag will be much of a problem.
