What do you think of her cooking show Giada at Home on the Food Network?

Watch it all the time. Never seen her cook or noticed her speaking.

B. Can cook

She was born in Rome, Giada Pamela De Benedetti, after her parents divorced she took her mother's surname and moved to California. Her mother's maternal side of the family is English.

She learned to speak Italian in Rome and she learned to speak English in California.

Is it wrong for an Italian woman to speak Italian like... Italians?

Every Hispanic TV persona rolls their Rs and other stuff.

Are they all supposed to just sound white?

Well, I've always found it annoying that when ordering bruschetta in America, I am constantly corrected after pronouncing it the way it is actually pronounced in most of Italy. It probably sounds over pronounced only because she isn't speaking the entire sentence in Italian.

Well... yes.

This will lead to sportscasters around the country referring to the "Nawlins" Saints.

And we can't have that.

I find people who do this very annoying. Kind of like pronouncing Jamaica with a Rasta accent for example. It doesn't make you any more authentic.

I know a lot of Italian people that do this it's not really that weird
