I'll say it again:
Just like the first trailer it actually looks better than I thought and has the potential to be a funny movie. Wiig, McKinnon, and McCarthy actually weren't bad casting choices and from the 2 trailers they have good chemistry and look to be pretty funny.
And then Leslie Jones shows up and torches any chance of me seeing this movie. Who finds her funny? How does she continue to get work?

I think this is why people don't take SJWs/feminists seriously. The minute that their feelings are hurt, they start accusing this and that. Look at films that are loved with female leads: Aliens, Kill Bill, Silence of the Lamb, Fargo, Erin Brockovich. Look at remakes that everybody hates involving male leads: Total Recalls, Robocop, Clash of the Titans, Karate Kid.
It's a free market. Make good stuff = people love. Make sh*t stuff = people hate. It's simple as that. Then you look at ghostbusters and some people feel the need to defend it. Well, if SJWs think that women are strong and independent, then they can't handle a few criticism.

Wow...they are really shitting all over this.
While there is a possibility that this is a stumble of an initial trailer and that later ones will be better (a la BvS), I doubt it.

Does look better. Still doesn't have any grit like the original had. I agree with whoever said this is more akin to Real Ghostbusters, which was a very underrated cartoon and holds up on rewatch as an adult.

This will be an epic fail!! Do not understand how anyone backing this movie financially thought it would be a great idea to have it remade with this story line.

Haven't rewatched, but I loved that show as a kid. I remember it being way more Slimer-centric than anything, similar to the Beetlejuice cartoon.

The cartoon became much more slimer centric in season 3, becoming 'Slifer and the Real Ghostbusters' . The first 2 seasons were the best.
Also, the original 3 Ghostbusters were all scientists who held PhDs in parapsychology.
