I've always been worried the show will make him write differently. Hopefully he has been far enough ahead and obviously consulting with them on how it should go.
It seems the rumors are building that WOW will be out before season 6, so it'll be enough time for us to read and then the show pick up.
I can't even think about him staying dead. Who is ice in TSOIAF, Sansa? The Rick? I'd have a meltdown man

Yeah it would just make no sense. To me, it would tell me that GRRM did the worst thing he could do, and change his ending because people have already guessed the original

I'll be honest - if they have Dolorous Ed Tollet be one of the daggers in the dark I would be royally pissed and look on it as the worse departure from the books yet. That guy is such a great minor character in the books and they've already taken away most of his dry laconic humor that I enjoyed from the books.

He has to know on his own or from people in his circle that this would be idiotic. His editors, publishers, Westeros.org, all those people would have to tell him his crazy

He's said a few times that he wouldn't do that. Now can I see the show changing his storyline? Possibly.

You gotta up that count Hugo especially for the irrelevants If the WW's are showing up to Hardhome, and they show any sort of fighting pit stuff, you gotta put the irrelevant count to 15-20+

Already figured this out. Cast Sean Bean and possibly one or two other known Dead figures for flashbacks.
We could get Bran seeing the Tower of Joy go down and then bam cut to Jon being revived.

Sorry guys don't read the thread much so this has probably already been discussed. Has anything been mentioned on the whole iron islands saga? Are they going to do it next season or are they just saying frick it? Was really looking forward to some crows eye

Casting news for next season has a role for a "pirate" that sounds an awful lot like Euron. And for a "priest" that some think sounds like Damphair (though most, including me think it sounds more like Septon Meribald).
And some sites have reported the actors who play Balon and Yara will appear in later episodes this season.
So I think you will see some Iron Isles stuff but a condensed version - likely no Victorian and probably no Damphair either.
