How was tristin or whatever killed by the sand snakes?
I thought he was in boat with Jaime?
No way they would go bring him back to shore and then bail after Marcella died...

They took 2 boats to kings landing?
Sand snakes were not on the boat when they left.

If Robert was rightful king, he would not have been hell bent on killing any living Targaryan

Look at it this way... if you think Dany deserves to be queen, then you think Viserys was king.
They have the exact same claim to the throne of Westeros.
I see Robert as a legitimate king. Just as I saw Stannis as a legitimate king.
The thing is, there are ex-patriate Westeros people who look at Dany as a queen, and to those people, she is one. Viserys may not have been popular, but to those same people, he was the legitimate king. When Dany calls herself "Queen of the Andals and the First Men," she really means it. And so did Viserys.

Gendry would be a good king. Where is he?
Gendry is an uneducated bastard with a whore for a mother. What exactly makes him king material?

quote:not to hikjack but, i though it was great. the title of the story was HIMYM and really Ted was trying to tell the story to his kids about that. But really he was lonely and it showed him and his kids that he rally has a thing for robin.
That final season was the worst final season I've ever seen for a series I liked. I was on board, caught it almost right at the very 1st episode in S1, loved the show. Of course it loses a little luster when it becomes wildly popular, but I still liked the show especially since they realized they should focus on Ted less.

Oberyn is the beginning and end of all things interesting about Dorne. The King had potential but was ended by the worst actors in the show. Now we are left with Ellaria and the SS; characters who possess the typical killer instinct necessary to play the game but lack enough of a backstory to really make me care one way or another.

Not to change subjects too much, but is that the Mountain in armor with Cersei? I think the last we saw of him was that wacky blood transfusion thing after his fight, so it would make since that he's covered up now.

Yea we saw him after her walk of shame. The voodoo doctor said he vowed not to speak until he avenged her but I assumed he is just a zombie that can't talk.

Firstly, I do really like this show, but I used to love this show.
My biggest gripe about it is that we only get 10 episodes a season and then in a season opener you give us a sub 50 min episode? That is weak as frick.
I'm not completely up in arms about the perceived lack of story progression as I just watched the entire season 5 prior to the new ep. The show is significantly better when able to watch back to back episodes. Most everything that was dumb has been discussed, but there was a lot of stuff that did happen that moves story along.
Season 5 was one of my least favorite for sure, and I'm not holding my breath the writers will make this season much better.
It's pretty simple how to make the show move along and get much more entertaining:
1) more white walkers including the bad arse haunting music that accompanies them
2) have wildlings annihilate the crows and resurrect snow via red lady. Then whole crew goes south to warn everyone
3) Sansa either gets her crew to go kill Walder Frey or comes back into mix w LF at Winterfell
4) LF attacks boltons and keeps Ramsey prisoner for future karmic payback
5) Lannisters and zombie mountain wreck the fanaticals and also off the dumb Dornish women
6) get arya killing fools ASAP
7)figure out how to get bran hooked up with the dragons and Tyrion as bran can vouch for him to align again w Starks.
8) more white walkers
9) Starks and snow take out Lannisters
10) battle for all of mankind vs walkers
11 all the rest of the stuff is pretty meaningless
This is a lot of stuff and things need to be happening quicker

It's him, just a zombified character after the fight with the red viper.

also, should there be an "asian" empire in GOT? that would mix things up. A country like han dynasty china more powerful then westeros or dorne. discuss. What about Orcs in GOT?

I enjoy how the Dothraki culture resembles the Navajo culture.

If Robert thought himself rightful, he wouldn't have been determined to kill any living targ.
And bed wouldn't have had to lie and said Jon was his bastard to guar from Roberts wrath.
