That's definitely him laying in wake in the preview in the pyramid.
I hope it's for good reason and setting future things up (i.e. Tyrion becoming her advisor) but in the meantime it was a shitty character killing.

Was it clear that Cersei was the one stupid enough to give them military power, like in the books? She seems a lot more intelligent than she was written to be. Not surprising.
