CBS’ Supergirl will meet The CW’s The Flash, when the DC Comics series pull off an internetwork crossover this spring.

Storyline details have not yet been disclosed, but Grant Gustin‘s speedster will make tracks for Supergirl and join forces with Melissa Benoist’s Girl of Steel on Monday, March 28, CBS announced on Wednesday.

The Flash is one of my favorite shows but I don't care about it that much to watch Supergirl trash if it's only canon in Supergirl-land.

The only reason for the Flash to run over to Metropolis is for a quicky.

She is fine, so if he hits it and leaves, I'd call it a good episode.

Supergirl is alright, you just have to put aside the post-teen love angst BS that is endemic to any show targetted at young females.

Of the 5 DC shows right now, it's writing is the least (and Benoist could really have put a little more effort into the Bizarro role by making her voice somewhat different, especially after the transformation).

That episode should be called "The Fappening".

The costume budget must be booming over there.

Gotham, yes. The other 4 (Arrow, Flash, Legends and Supergirl) are all the same universe, I believe.

Same universe, but that doesn't necessarily mean same earths.

Link?

Flash and Supergirl/Superman on the same TV Earth isn't out of the question. There's always the "why didn't Superman help out" problem, but that's been a part of superheroes since the Justice Society first got together in 1940.

Superman can't be everywhere. He's got that job at the Daily Planet to hold down.

As of this point, it looks like this crossover will be one-way, in that Supergirl would not be heading over to the CW anytime soon. Sources told Deadline that part of the reason for this is budgetary, in that SUPERGIRL has a bigger budget to work with than THE FLASH. Perhaps getting that girl to fly in THE FLASH would be an extra strain on resources they couldn't afford? The sources are also saying that they will justifying Supergirl not being in THE FLASH with a multi-dimensional excuse. Supergirl as of now is not able to cross dimensions, while the Flash is.
