I had no idea they were remaking it. I'll definitely be there on opening night.

I for one am not excited about this, even though i loved the original. I'm sure this new one will be terrible and a disservice to the original. Some of it was filmed in Baton Rouge, although i'm not sure what's "western" about anything around here.

I recently went to Nottoway Plantation in White Castle and the tour guide told us that they filmed some scenes from this movie there.

By "I'm sure" you mean "I'm assuming".

I love the crowd that assumes a remake is going to be terrible simply because it is a remake. Why not withhold judgment until you see it?

Well guess what if you don't want it to "ruin" the first one for you or anything then there is a simple option.

Don't watch it.

My cousin posted some photos to Facebook a few months back of her with Chris Pratt, Ethan Hawk and Vince Dinofrio shooting guns somewhere down there. Not sure where exactly they were though.

So, three white dudes, a Native American, a black guy, and an Asian dude all walk into a saloon...

I will, but i can give my opinion on it before, can't I?
I just think it's hard to remake a classic western for todays audience.

The only ones I can think of are 3:10 to Yuma and True Grit, both of which I liked. I can't think of any western remakes that flopped.

I liked 3:10 to Yuma, although it is a bit slow.
Haven't seen True Grit yet.

unlike most people, i can go into a movie that i don't think will be good for whatever reason, and have my mind changed while watching it. I'm not one to bring my preconceived negatives into the movie to sway my decision on if i liked it. I want to enjoy every movie i watch.
I thought Deadpool was going to be awesome. didn't really care for it.
I thought Guardians of the Galaxy was going to be dumb. I thought it was awesome.
I never wanted to watch Family Guy b/c i thought it would be stupid. It's still one of my favorite shows.
I thought the Revenant was going to be awesome, and i like just about anything with Leo, and I couldn't wait for that retarded movie to end.

This casting looks more deliberately diverse than the Red Dawn remake...

I only like remakes that pay homage to the originals with all female casts...I am out.

It's the Old West, nobody would know what your joke meant if you used those labels.

I mean, they have some fun people in there, but there's no way this will make sense in the Old West.

I will watch almost any movie Ethan Hawk is in. I will watch almost any movie Denzel is in. I will watch almost any movie Vincent D'Onofrio is in. I will watch almost any movie Chris Pratt is in.

All four of those frickers are in this. And it's directed by Fuqua. Sold.
