Favorite Peter Sellers pink panther series film?

For me it's A Shot in the Dark. Great physical comedy and it's before the latter ones when he almost became a caricature of himself.

A Shot in the Dark is a very solid choice. I would have to lean towards that one but even when the series went more over the top they were all consistently funny movies.

I agree. Lom is great at interacting with sellers. I really love the one when he is about to be released from the asylum, and Clouseau comes to speak on his behalf. The scene with the two of them by the lake is priceless.

A Shot in the Dark
Sellers is trying to blend in at a nudist colony, covering his mid section by holding a guitar (backwards) as he walks around.
A hot woman walks by and you hear Sellers' penis loudly strum the strings.
Best sound gag ever.

Another vote for Shot in the Dark here. It's almost nonstop funny. I love all the scenes where he's interrogating the house servants especially the ending where they start arguing.

Revenge of the Pink Panther and Return of the Pink Panther were the two that I watched all the time growing up because we had those on vhs. I need to go back and try to watch the ones that I haven't seen. Just ridiculously funny stuff. Sellers was a genius.
