i gotta go with season 1, although 2 was awesome too.
BBT did such an amazing job, he really killed it. As did bilbo (can never remember his name).
Story in 2 was better though.

This is a great question. I will have to go with Season 2. To get Kirsten Dunst to be good in any role is more than a minor miracle

Season 2. The cast of characters and storylines were more broad and intriguing. The soundtrack was pretty damn cool too.
