Bethesda is releasing a "next-gen" update for Fallout 4 which will be released on Thursday.

And Howard said they have begun work on the next mainline Fallout game, just no specifics and definitely no dates.

If TES: VI is slated for a 2026 release then I could see 2027.

Fallout 5 is two console generations down the road. Will likely be 7-8 years away.

Finished today. Enjoyed it. Considering the people in vault 4 were worshipping Moldaver i am not sure why everyone is speculating how pr where she was cryod. Everyone outside of vault 4 on surface acts terrified of even her name.. but these people worship her? She clearly cryo slept in 4.

Saw some twitter theories that Moldaver, the post apocalypse version, is actually a synth. I'd have to see if they actually bleed red blood, but her being a scientist who came up with cold fusion...certainly capable of transferring her consciousness into a synth.

Hell, I totally forgot about those... Fallout Shelter is the most recent game I've played, I fear.

Finished today and man that was a fun watch. Cooper may be my one of my all time favorite show characters.

Nope. But that doesn't mean that they couldn't introduce them. Enough time has passes between Fallout 4 and Fallout TV. It wouldn't be difficult for the newer model of synths to be on the west coast by then.

However, that depends on what Fallout 4 ending they decided to make canon.

I'd also speculate that V31-33 aren't "experiment" vaults in the same context of the others - they want the vaults to succeed, so they'd fall into the category of "Control Vaults" that were actually meant to help repopulate the US (just, you know, with one HUGE asterisk).

Not like the vaults were people were experimented on, cloned, gassed, driven mad, etc.

Coop's wife was very insistent that they get into one of the "GOOD VAULTS."

Bud is going to be pissed if he finds out since he has had to spend a couple hundred years as a brain floating on a Roomba.

I think she also mentioned “management” with good vaults. Could that mean she’s in 33?

What was the deal with the guy in the beginning that had his head cut off now that I think about it.... how did he know so much about her vault and what was specifically unique about her vault in relation to other vaults?

Amen to that I never played the game but I really enjoyed the story line of season 1. Hope they don't make us wait a year or two.

That was Ben Linus. He knows everything that’s going on.

Know nothing about this franchise. So is it worth a watch from someone with no idea about anything to do with the lore?

Wife and I are desperate for something new to watch so I figured I could try talking her into this one

From what I've read, it's just good television, so I'd say so. I love the games so I've been a bit curious how it holds up with the non game fans. But all of the fallout games are standalone stories in the same world, as is the show, so you'll be fine. There will be some references and easter eggs you won't catch but that won't take away from it.

It's a gruesome and gory show. The games are as well but it never really registered that these are essentially horror games until I saw it in live action.
